  • Flexible Seating For 4th Graders!

    Thank you so much for donating to our classroom's flexible seating! We have been benefiting from the new seating that you've provided for us! We love using the standing desks while working independently. Our stools are so fun to sit on while working with our partners! We also love reading independently while using the ball seating and pillows. It is nice to have an option on where we do our learning!

    When we first saw the material, we were shocked! We did not know we were going to get funded so quickly. We were so excited to start using our new seating and love being able to share seating with friends. We cannot stop smiling!

    Take a look at some of our photos of us using the flexible seating! You will notice the smiles on all of our faces. Once we get used to our new flexible seating, we want to incorporate more for next years students! We want to write out directions on how the new 4th graders are going to use the seating when they enter 4th grade.

Flexible seating allows students to choose where they want to learn. ALL students are different and have different learning needs. Flexible seating provides students with the appropriate surroundings based on their needs. Flexible seating holds students responsible for their learning by allowing them to choose where they want to sit. Students experience small group work, individual instruction and whole class instruction in spots they choose. Students love flexible seating because they love being responsible for their own success! Student are more committed to learning when they feel that they have a choice! The collaboration with their classmates is truly inspiring during flexible seating as all students feel welcomed and appreciated! :)
