Funded Jun 26, 2012Thank you again for your generous contribution to our classroom library. Students absolutely adore the nonfiction reader sets. Their favorites are Wild Weather, Amazing Inventions, and Space Phenomena.
Each nonfiction text set includes six copies of four texts. There is a newspaper, an internet page, a magazine article and a brochure for each set. The texts are leveled making them perfect to differentiate based on reading level. Most importantly, they capture students attention with their bright colors, awesome pictures, and interesting facts.
The nonfiction text sets have been a huge hit in our class. Thank you again!”

Ready, Set, Read!
Funded Apr 19, 2012Thank you again for your generous donation to our classroom project. Students have been eager to read all of our new nonfiction! So far, their favorite stories and articles have been about donuts, treasure, and outer space.
We have been using these articles, books, and resources during guided reading rotations, small group work, with partners, and independently. They have provided a much needed spark to keep students reading throughout the end of the school year.
Thank you again. Without your help, this would not be possible!”

Multi-Level Math Fact Games
Funded Apr 19, 2012I can't thank you enough for your wonderful donation to our classroom. The math games we received have been a wonderful resource for students when reviewing basic operations such as multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction. We've been using them every day to review and build our number sense!
The best part about these games is that they are leveled. Each board becomes increasingly more challenging which helps in meeting the needs of all students within the classroom. Each student can play at their individual developmental level.
Thank you again for helping my classroom!”

With the school year winding down and coming to an end we've been able to spend some time reviewing previously learned concepts. The math games we received have been a wonderful resource for students when reviewing operations, number sense, place value, and rounding.
The math games we received are bright, colorful, engaging, and fun. We've been using them every day! Students even ask to play the games during recess or free time.
Without donors like you my classroom would never have been able to receive these amazing math games.”

Funded May 7, 2011Wow, our materials have arrived and students are ecstatic about the new tools and activities we have to practice reading fluently.
Using the new materials you have funded, I have recreated our fluency station that will be used during our reading center time. Students no longer have to use boring worksheets or old activities. They can choose to partner read a story and ask each other questions, listen and then read along with a poem or complete fluency games in a small group.
Students love that they have choices and the materials you funded are motivating and engaging to use. What a great way to add a little excitement into our reading program at the end of a long school year.
Thank you again for your help. These materials will continue to be used over and over again for years to come!”

Mrs. Jasewicz
