  • Safe and Clean

    Funded Mar 1, 2022

I just wanted to thank you again for the wonderful donation to my classroom. My students have enjoyed cleaning up after every class and being able to come to my class daily knowing that we have the materials to stay safe. Out tables and chairs continue to be germ free thanks to you. Our little runny noses have tissues to use. Learning has come to life for my sweet English language learners because of generous people like you. We will continue to learn because of people like you. Your generosity is key to the success of our ESL program. I am so grateful for the support of our donors and volunteers. Thank you for helping us keep our ESL program strong.”

    With gratitude,

  • Being Bilingual!

    Funded Dec 16, 2021

Thank you for this new equipment. I am using this every day with the students. I even got a chance to use this new tool during ACCESS testing. Assessing Comprehension and Communication in English State-to-State for English Language Learners is a summative assessment that assesses social and academic English language development in the domains of Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. It was wonderful to have this tool to be able to explain to the students what is expected on this testing and what they needed to do. It was a lifesaver today and everyday. This year we are really growing with our English language, thank you for making this possible.”

  • Creating a Beautiful and Efficient Classroom for our EL Learners!

    Funded Oct 1, 2021

Our classroom looks so beautiful, with these new tablecloths. They made such a difference and we are happy to make our classroom look so much better! The students fell relaxed, motivated, and happy. I feel an inviting classroom makes a big difference. We have learning stations where the ESL students are engaging in the English language with our new table clothed tables. We defiantly feel at home now. Thank you for making this happen. We are and will be successful during this new in person school year.”

  • Chromebooks for 3rd Graders

    Funded Aug 21, 2020

I want to say thank you again for helping us purchase these laptops. We ended up purchasing different laptops since the chrome books were sold out during the pandemic. Now that all students are fully back in person, student shave been using these laptops in class daily. We have many ESL students so the students learned how to translate from their home language to English using these laptops as well. These have been a blessing in disguise. Thank you for taking the time to support our classroom and for allowing us to succeed. We are so happy to be back in school!”

  • Ink Needed

    Funded Sep 24, 2021

Thank you again for providing us with the ink we need to get our classroom running. I am able to print our homework and differentiate my instruction for so many different levels of students that I support. Students are able to take home printed out books and keep them as well. This has been extremely helpful in our learning as well as learning the English language in our classroom. I able to print vocabulary words in different languages as well and post them in pour classroom. Thank you for all your support and for helping us start this wonderful school year off right.”

  • New Start - New School Year for an ESL Classroom

    Funded May 22, 2021

Thank you again for funding my project. The boarders have made such a difference and brightened up our classroom. I also was able to purchase curtain rods to brighten up the classroom, as you can see in the picture. The fadeless border paper is also a key to decorate the class and make this room look pleasant and comfortable. The children were so surprised with the way the new room looks. We do have one more step, to paint but that will come in time. Thanks again for supporting us and always helping !”

  • iPad for Virtual Learning

    Funded Oct 23, 2020

I cannot thank you enough for the iPad for our classroom. The boys and girls have loved this addition. My students have enjoyed practicing their language arts skills while practicing their English as well. We are in a new classroom this year and are making use of this wonderful addition. One new feature with the iPad is that we are able to take pictures of real life objects and compare them to what we are learning in class. I know I will be able to use this device to enhance many other students as we are learning how to be back full time in school and keep safe. Without your generosity, many classrooms would not have the needed technology to enhance instruction. Thank you so much for everything you do.”

  • Social Distancing and Keeping Safe

    Funded Nov 9, 2020

Finally, we are back in school. Thank you for making this possible as well. We are protecting ourselves with the new materials given to us. The wand that was purchased helps us keep clean in the class. We can see where all the dirt is, and we wipe them clean and safe. All children are monitored daily. We are feeling safe and happy to be back in our learning environment. Safety is always number one and we make sure it is kept that way. It has been a long year out of school and all the students are happy to be back. Thank you for supporting us and especially the new classroom we are in.”

  • Clean, Safe, Germ Free Classroom

    Funded Jul 29, 2020

Thank you so much for funding this project. My students had just returned to school in the past two weeks, but only two days a week. We have been using all the cleaning supplies. I have moved to a new classroom. This came to use at a great time. Everything has been wiped down and is germ free. You have made this become possible. The classroom feels so much safer and the students are ready to learn. I appreciate all your help during these hard times. Thank you for always believing in us and making this all happen.”

I teach second grade in a very low income school where all the children receive free lunches. We are a Title One school and most of the children are raised by grandparents or live in foster homes. All these students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds. Over 99% of the student body is eligible for free lunch and over 99% receive public assistance. These factors come together and place our children at a huge disadvantage, but we are committed to providing these students with a rigorous academic program.
