My goals as a Physical Education teacher include creating a safe environment for students to learn about health and wellness and to get exercise. I strive to provide new and creative ways to get students active and having fun. Many of our high poverty students do not spend much time outdoors. I have worked to provide outdoor and 'real life' activities during Physical Education. I am currently teaching a bicycle safety and riding unit to grades K-4. Students are learning about bicycle safety and improving riding skills (many students do not know how to ride - so we are teaching them)! I am currently in need of several items to maintain our bicycle program and for day to day Physical Education activities.
