  • STEM in the Classroom

    Funded Jan 1, 2019

Thank you so much for the funding of out Stem project! We are excited to use our 3d printer to explore more activities we can do in our class. Our students have never used a 3d printer so to be able to have access to it everyday will be a great experience for them.”

  • Stem in the Classroom!

    Funded Mar 2, 2018

The supplies that were donated to the STEM Girl After school program gave our girls the opportunity to create, build and explore the engineering world. The girls created a Eco friendly neighborhood, sound waves and Experiment it by making elephant toothpaste.

The reaction each student had knowing that others believed in their learning in the STEM Field made them excited knowing that they can do whatever they heart desired. The girls were excited with the new color markers and the amount of cardboard they can use to build there ecofriendly community.

Start for the new year the STEM class will be opened for our male students. We will like to get more Materials to work on new”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Rivera

The students from my school live near one of the worst projects in the Bronx, New York. To keep them away from trouble One World Middle School has tried to make as many after school activities available to all. Many of our students are living in low poverty areas and view coming to this public school as a way to escape their home lives. Some don't even have homes to go too. We try our best to provide students with access to after school programs, technology and hands on activities. We are trying to create an all girl Engineering program to keep female students more engaged in mathematics and science. We do not have to funds to start the program and buy the supplies.
