Printing with the Colors of the Rainbow!
Funded Apr 15, 2021My students and I would like to extend our gratitude to everyone that contributed to our classroom project. It has been a true blessing being able to print in color.
My students LOVE seeing all our decodable books in color. They love seeing their work printed and displayed on the classroom bulletin board, with the colorful images they have chosen. This makes learning fun and exciting and my students take pride in their work and it shows!
On a personal note, as a teacher, it is one less thing I have to purchase for the classroom. I am deeply touched by everyone's generosity and beyond grateful.”

Funded Feb 3, 2021I'd like to express my gratitude for your generosity. Your generous monetary contribution was able to equip our classroom with a new Samsung laptop.
The last year has been one for the records. Never have we relied on technology so much for teaching. Having a new laptop has made a huge difference in my students lives as well as mine.
I was able to Distance Teach with confidence. No longer was I worried that my old laptop needed a long time to power on, log in to zoom or crash at any given time. I was in constant fear that my old laptop would reboot in the middle of a lesson. However, once I received the new laptop, all that fear disappeared. To be honest, I never fully realized how much tension and stress I had because of technology mishaps.
Once we returned to in person learning, my students were very excited to see the new laptop in person. They were in awe that someone gave the class a new laptop and they were super impressed that it was given to us by the Elon Musk Foundation.”

Crazy for Chrome Books!
Funded Sep 23, 2019Our classroom was blessed with your generosity. Your generosity, provided technology via chrome books.
Education has been evolving at a fast pace. It was definitely ramped up because of school closures during this pandemic. I am so thankful students were familiar with using chrome books to access google classroom. Chrome books in the classroom are essential part of education now. With these chrome books, students are able to practice basic skills such as typing to access websites to play online math games, use online reading websites and to write essays via google classroom.
I am able to post assignments on google classroom and my students are able to access their assignments at home. They work on their assignments virtually and I am able to see their work via real time. I am grateful I am able to engage with my students online with he use of chrome books, because some students didn't have technology in their home. I am only able to do this, because of you generosity. I have to admit...that's pretty incredible and amazing at the same time. I am humbled by your generosity.”

Funded Jan 28, 2019From the bottom of our hearts, we Thank you! We thank you for your thoughtfulness and generosity. Every year, as a teacher, I try to become a little better, whether it's leaning something new or become more productive in my day. Your generosity this year, has helped tremendously. You have helped my student become organized.
My students were excited to see the folder organizer and even more ecstatic when they were able to use it. Each student was assigned a folder "cubby" where they place their materials after each lesson. This has allowed us to be more productive in our classroom. We are spending less time looking for lost materials and using that time to learn.
In this upcoming school year, I will be teaching new students in my classroom, how to use our organizational system. We're beyond grateful and and we don't take your generosity for granted.”

Funded Feb 7, 2015Thank you so much for all your contributions. Your generosity made it possible to fund this project. My students were so excited to receive the iPad 2. Their faces were full of joy when I pulled it out of the box. They kept asking, "Can we start using it right now?"
Most of my students either have limited access to technology or none at all. So, having an extra tool in the classroom to get students excited about learning motivates me to become a better teacher. Currently, we use the iPad to meet each students needs. Some students need extra reading fluency practice so we have a few apps that help strengthen that particular skill. Other students need help with reading comprehension so we use different apps that target that skill. We also use the iPad for math games that reinforce skills such as number sense or multiplication fluency. These educational games, strengthen much needed foundational skills that will be used in their future years. For the older students, the iPad has been used as a great research tool. They've learned how to navigate different sites and search for relevant information they need to complete their reports.
This iPad is one more tool I've incorporated in my lesson plan, in order to reach my students. My students are motivated and enthusiastic when it is their turn to use it. I am grateful to everyone who contributed to this project. Being able to reach students through different means makes teaching exciting in this technological era.”
