  • Getting Comfy and Cozy in the Reading Corner

    Funded May 16, 2023

Thank you so much for donating to my classroom. My students this year and last year love even more of the flexible seating. Students have been building independence with choice in the classroom and where they want to learn. Students were so excited to come into the classroom and not have to seat at a desk unless they wanted to. They use the flexible seating to do readers workshop, writers workshop, math, going on the Ipads and so much more. Their favorite time to use them is when they get to partner read together with their classmates.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Vittorio

  • Head Phones

    Funded Nov 3, 2022

Thank you so much for your donations to help bring technology to our classroom. The students love their comfortable and colorful head phones. They are able to concentrate and listen to book on epic, amplify, ST Math, and other online resource to expand their learning in the classroom. When students are listening to instruction on an app or listening to a story being read to them they are focused and engaged in their learning. So many times prior students would get distracted by others IPads and now they are less distracted. The headphones have been an amazing shift in their learning. Thank you so much!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Vittorio

  • Learn in Comfort

    Funded Sep 24, 2021

Thank you so much for donating to our classroom this year. When the students saw the big pillows they were so excited to read on them. One student even said" I wish I could read on those comfy pillows forever." My students loved doing classwork on the big comfortable pillow. The students used these pillows to read on during readers workshop and to write stories during writes work shop. The magnetic set real help drive my instruction for math. The 10 frames was a great tool and resources for myself and for students who need more support.”

  • Zen Out With Books and Flexible Seating

    Funded May 24, 2019

Thanks you for your contribution to my classroom. My student have had the opportunity to use the flexible seating. They love going into the library to read their book and have a chair to sit in. Having these seats allows them to focus and be comfortable reading. Its like they are reading in the comfort of their own home. They also take the circular seating and use them as pillows on the rug when they are budding reading to each other. They area able to read and be good listeners as they flip through their pages.

All the books that came in focus on specific lesson that we will be using all year long during read aloud. These themes include prediction, problem/solution, character traits, theme/main idea, connections, growth mindset and more. All these books target all learners and the development of readers literacy in the classroom. The students are engaged when these books are being read to them.”

  • Less Clutter and Less Stress Makes a Happy Place

    Funded Jun 1, 2018

Thank you everyone who donated to the less clutter and less stress project. My students are beyond excited to have these back seat storage. All students keep their book bags and homework folders in the storage. It allows them quick and easy access to grab their book bags and begin reading. They aren't searching in their backpacks to find them. It saves time and is an efficient way to for them to get started during Readers workshop.

When my students saw the new at your seat storage sacks they were beyond excited. They asked me where did they come from. So I told them about Donor choose and how people can help donated supplies to our classroom. When people donate it helps make our classroom run smoother and helps all of them stay organize.

At first, they thought they could take them home but I reminded them they are here in the classroom to help you. They told me how they love just reaching behind them to grab their books and head phones. We also store our head phones for our Ipads in the back as well. Thank you to everyone that donated to helped make my classroom less of a clutter. I truly appreciate your contribution to this project.”

  • I Can See Clearly Now With An Easel Board!

    Funded Nov 5, 2017

Thank you so much for your support to help me fund books and an easel for my classroom. My students were so excited to have more books for their classroom library. As soon as they entered the classroom they noticed the easel and were so happy to see it. We have been using it for math problems, sight words, and interactive writing.

Many of my student love Caps for Sale. Its not only one of my favorite books but theirs too. This is one book they always go back to during emergent reading. They love to read it to themselves and to their classmates.

I am beyond grateful for all of you that donated to my classroom.

Having these few extra materials in my classroom really does make a difference.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Vittorio
