The books on my wish list are in two languages. The family's spoken language at home, and in English, the language they are learning. Twice each month our non-English speaking families attend a socialization event here at Next Door. There is a story time in their language, and parents receive tips for reading with their children at home. Each child will take a book home from the events they attend to keep.. When parents see books that are in their native language their faces light up, they are so thrilled to have a book that they can keep and read to their child.
