Becoming Bilingual at a Young Age
Funded Dec 3, 2019Thank you so much for your generous donations. The games that the students received have already helped them with things that are difficult with the English language. Some of their favorites out of the set involve learning prepositions, speaking in complete sentences, daily vocabulary, and learning the differences between singular and plural nouns.
The most eye opening thing to me was that a lot of my students did not know what we would consider simple basic vocabulary such as where a doctor would be found or where books would be found.
The growth that I have seen in my students and their English has been so eye opening. Again, I appreciate the support not only for me as a new English language teacher but for my students as well.”

Funded Oct 13, 2018My students are really enjoying the math games you allowed us to get. I so appreciate the generous support you provided not only to me but my students as well. I have been using some of the file folder games during my intervention block and the students have really enjoyed learning math strategies in a different way.
When my students first saw the materials, they were shocked and so thankful for what you did for our classroom. They could not stop smiling and asking when we would get to use them. They like looking at the back of the box to see the different games we can use.
The next steps will be continuing to grow our brains and become brighter and smarter each and every day!”

Helping Special Education Students Reach Their Full Potential
Funded Aug 23, 2018Thank you so much for all of your generous donations! My scholars have really enjoyed having a game day Friday in our center rotation block. We also use them during our RTI block which is our intervention block first thing in the morning. My students will beg me to play the games which I love how engaged they are. I have also noticed a huge difference in how fluently they are reading their sight words and I think the biggest difference is because of the flip and read sight word sentences.
When my students first saw the materials, they were blown away! They could not believe how big the box was that all of our resources came in. We have been so blessed with all of your support and your kind hearts. It is making a big difference in my students who otherwise do not have that support at home.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Sauls

Funded Mar 27, 2018I can't even begin to thank you for the magnets and flash cards. We use the magnets during our sight word routine and they will stay on the board all week. We have 3 sight words a day and we read them, spell them, and write them. The students use these magnets to help them write them until they become fluent enough to do it on their own.
We use the flashcards in the hallway when we are waiting in line, when we are waiting to enter the cafeteria line, and as a ticket into the classroom. The students love doing this and they actually have started getting competitive with each other to read the word first so they can enter the room first.
When my students first saw the materials, they got very excited and started shouting! They love the different textures of the magnets and even enjoy the colors because they know different colored words means different levels of difficulty.
Again, I just want to personally thank you on behalf of myself and my students.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Sauls
