Lend a Hand, Give a Can
Funded Nov 30, 2022Since my project, " Lend a Hand, Give a Can," is not tied to any classroom lessons or specific learning objectives, but instead it is designed to request essentials that my students need in and out of the classroom, it made my students come to school at their healthiest and happiest selves.
The students learned about this project because they saw in my classroom that the items are bagged accordingly. They got so excited, and everyone got curious and was asking what's inside the bag. I explained to them that there is a list that the school will give me so we ca address who those deserving students are. The deserving students who were given are very thankful and very appreciative of this project, and they are extending their gratitude to the donors.
The next steps that I would like to do is to continue doing this project every year.”
With gratitude,

Funded Mar 10, 2022I would like to express my sincerest gratitude for giving donations for my Project" lend a Hand, Give a Can!". These items which are fundamental to their health and well-being will help my students to be in their healthiest and happiest selves.
When they first saw the bagged items, they got curious and been asking what's inside the bag, and one of them then told me, "Ms. I need a blanket!". Everyone loves passing by my classroom when they saw the bags.
My next step is to continue creating more projects on fundamental needs of students so I can be able to reach out to more students. I would like to help these students who are living in a low income who has inadequate nutrition, food insecurity, lack basic services, and inadequate childcare that can adversely impact their physical and mental health.”

Mrs. Palma
Graduates of 2022, Mabuhay!
Funded Jan 15, 2022I would like to express my sincerest gratitude for the USA-Filipino stole sashes that you have given to our Filipino Club. I am greatly inspired and motivated to continue providing resources and utmost care to my students.
I will give each of my senior Filipino Club students this USA-Filipino stole sashes for graduation. This stole symbolizes more than a club; it is a reward for the hard work that they have demonstrated for this school year. They look forward in walking that stage with pride not only representing our club, but our culture.”

Funded Nov 17, 2021These projects, Lysol Cleaning Wipes, and Marker Board Towelette Wipes were used used by my students to clean up. Upon learning that they can be able to sanitize their assigned tables and chairs, they were so delighted. The Marker Towelette Wipes made it easier for them to clean their individula white boards. The Sharpener made their work done in a clearly.
When my students saw these materials, they got very enthusiastic and eager to use them. I am very much pleased with their reaction because I can see that these support to the students provided them the opportunity to be responsible. This will help build in them a strong character.
The next steps that I can assign to my students is through "Advisory" or a Club that we have in our school. We can be extending these Clean Up by participating in a strret cleaning around our campus.
Without your help, these engaging and significant activities will not be possible.”

Fun with Shapes!
Funded Nov 9, 2021In our class in Geometry, students are using these manipulatives to create solids, and they will find the surface area and the volume of the solids they reated.
Upon exploring on the tiles, they got so hyped when they learned that the tiles were magnetized. This added to their excitement when they learned that they will be the first ones who will be using the manipulatives.
The next steps for my students will be using their knowledge on volumes and surface areas to real life. They will be doing computations on the amount of paint that will be used to to cover a wall inside our buildings. They will also be making comparisons on the price of which beverages that they are buying will be cheaper, in liters or in cans.
Without your help, this fun and engaging activities for the students will not be possible.”

Funded Oct 24, 2021Our class in Geometry is using the manipulatives to find the number of faces, edges, and vertices. They also were able to visualize how nets look like, and enhances their learning experiences in areas and volumes.
When I showed the manipulatives to my students, they were all excited, specially when I told them that those manipulatives are new, and they are the first ones who will be using them.
The next steps for my students on their current lesson is that I will be using the manipulatives as extension of their lessons in surface areas and volumes. They will be creating a design using the manipulatives to form a house, robot or any figures using a combination of manipulatives and compute the surface area and volume of their design. The students are learning their math, and at the same time encouraged to show their artistic creativity. Without your help, this is not possible.”

Funded Dec 31, 2020I am so glad to inform you that this project "Learning Experience Gets Better" funded. For my classroom I received a laptop stand, a rolling standing desk, a wireless blue tooth headset, a LED desk lamp, a seat cushion and a portable USB microphone.
With the help that you have given me, I can serve my students better by opening an opportunity for them to have an efficient learning through a better led and facilitated way of instruction, whether it is virtual or in-person. Although we are still in virtual sessions, these supplies are equally important in an in person instruction.
The microphone enhances the audio of my lessons and the led desk lamp give them a better comprehension of the lessons due to the better sound quality and brightness during instruction. The headset, rolling standing desk, laptop stand, seat cushion and the laptop stand improve my way of teaching.
I am very excited, as well as my students, about these project. These materials are so helpful to all of them. I am extending my deep gratitude to all of my donors.”
