Mabuhay! My deepest gratitude for donating to our classroom an iPad and a pencil. Funded Oct 5, 2024

Words cannot describe what I am feeling at this moment.

I hope you're all excited to see pics of my senior Filipino students during graduation proudly wearing their stoles! Thank you for truly making a major impact on the lives - both in and out of school. You have given them the motivation to perform better and be successful in their school work and grow personally and academically as they look forward to their graduation.

With your help, you also gave them the opportunity to celebrate Filipino culture and created an inspiration for them to move towards their goals.

  • Be engaged in Math Part 2, Pen and Keyboard!

    Funded May 15, 2024

I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to the pen and keyboard that were donated to my classroom. My highschool students were so touched with the kindness and generosity you have given us. They were so excited to be able to see in our classroom engaging activities that will enhance and enrich their math learning. You made my students really happy to learn math.

With the pen and keyboard, annotating steps in working on math problems would greatly help in accommodating all learners, most specially the visual learners. I can explain better math problems with a step-by-step solution with included annotations using the colorful draw tool of Surface Pro. I can write, sketch, navigate, and take handwritten notes with an exceptional accuracy and facilitate easy and accurate typing.

A million thank you's for donating to our classroom.”

  • Let's Fight Hunger!

    Funded Feb 23, 2024

I would like to express my sincerest gratitude for the help that you have given my Filipino Club students to fight hunger in our community. They organized a food drive at our school where they will distribute these canned goods to people in need.

Thru this project, I believe that one of the most important things I have taught my students is how to be a good citizen in our school and in our community. Together, in our own little ways, we can help address the hunger problem, speak out about how people struggles with food insecurity and challenge other students to do the same.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Palma

My deepest gratitude for donating to our classroom. Because of your help, I can give my students tools and resources that will help them cope with stress and anxiety by engaging them in mindful activities, and by building their self-management skills when they are tackling a busy day, or when they just need a a break.

My students will be helped to redirect their focus, attention, calming, and active listening. Because they are provided with snacks, they can seek comfort from food.

  • Lend a Hand, Give a Can

    Funded Nov 30, 2022

Since my project, " Lend a Hand, Give a Can," is not tied to any classroom lessons or specific learning objectives, but instead it is designed to request essentials that my students need in and out of the classroom, it made my students come to school at their healthiest and happiest selves.

The students learned about this project because they saw in my classroom that the items are bagged accordingly. They got so excited, and everyone got curious and was asking what's inside the bag. I explained to them that there is a list that the school will give me so we ca address who those deserving students are. The deserving students who were given are very thankful and very appreciative of this project, and they are extending their gratitude to the donors.

The next steps that I would like to do is to continue doing this project every year.”

Nearly all our students are from lowincome households, English Learners, and some with special needs. However, my students are wonderful despite these factors. They give their best in every challenge and keep their spirits high. They might not be academically gifted, but they are hardworking and striving to improve to and grow personally and academically. During this time of pandemic, when they attend my Math Zoom lessons, they are enthusiastic and ready to learn new things. With your help, I would like to give them access to TI-84 graph calculators to gain advantage of the knowledge and experiences in AP Statistics, giving them bigger chances to be accepted into top universities, and contribute to the scientific discoveries of the future.
