  • Mysterious Society of Book Clubs

    Funded Dec 31, 2010

My students and I want to thank you for your generous donations to our project. Your donations were used to purchase chapter books for our classroom library. We use these book every day and the children can take these books home to enjoy. When we are in the classroom, the books are used to help create amazing conversations and thoughtful thinking between the children. The children are enjoying the books very time and are very excited to read them.

During times of crisis and budget cuts, the children should still the center of attentions. No matter what the budgets show us and tell us, in the end the children are the ones that get affected the most. With these budget cuts classrooms are getting less and less money to use to buy supplies and books. Therefore I want to thank you again for taking the time out to read my proposal and donate to our classroom. Thanks from the bottom of our hearts. ”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Moy

  • If You Give a Child a Book...They Can Travel the World.

    Funded Jun 2, 2008

I greatly appreciate you donating to this cause. The books are needed in my classroom to help these children and they are going to be so happy and delighted to see these books. These books are not only for classroom use but these children will be able to borrow them and take it home with them to enjoy. Thank you for giving them this chance to bring new books home and practice their reading. I want to thank you again behalf of all the children that are going to use these books”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Moy

My students are minimalist in the sense that they have what they need to get by. Many of my students are exposed to technology and a new culture only at school. Yet many of my students embrace learning to the fullest. They are excited when they see something new and intrigued when they are exposed to something new. They want to embrace this new culture they are put in but they do not have the technology, and resources to. Their parents are too busy trying to provide the family with essentials where they do not have time or the power to culture and spend quality time with their children.
