I Believe I Can Fly
Funded Feb 6, 2023First, let me say "Thank You" again to all our donors. The students are so overwhelmed with joy flying the new drone. Everyone wants to be apart of our club once they see what we are doing and how much fun it is to be able to see the world from a different perspective. Flying a drone is one thing but seeing what the drone actually sees is a totally different perspective and you made that happen for us. All the students now want to be drone operators. Attendance is better because they do not know which day is going to be fly day so they come every day to find out. My students are now researching how to qualify for a drone license and what steps have to be taken to get there. You made this happen and we cannot thank you enough.”

Picture Perfect
Funded Mar 25, 2022Thank you for funding my project. With the new telephoto lens students now have a tool to make an objective comparison between professional and novice photographs. The classroom level of excitement has increased with everyone wanting to take pictures on the fly. The lens has increased the capability to take professional images of student athletes for multiple sports. Students want to come to school now and are excited about taking pictures to document their time here.
The students now know the differences between the different lenses and can calculate which lenses to use at what distance and in what light. It's amazing the interest this has sparked. We use it almost every day.”

Funded Nov 20, 2020Thank you for making it possible for my students to connect with me during these trying times. The Samsung Flip with the portable stand will enable my students to learn virtually from home and in person using all the updated tools of the smart board, white board as they interact together from where ever they are. This is a huge addition to my classroom and interactive learning experience for my students. Students will be able to participate while learning which will make the experience more engaging and students willingness to just be here.
Thanks again!”

Funded Oct 9, 2020First let me thank you for your generous donation and supporting my students success. With the use of this printer my students were able to print a copy of their books they wrote while in class. Now they want to print everything! It is truly a blessing to have supporters like yourself to invest in our students and bring a smile to their face when they see their work posted. My students didn't like writing but with this project they were able to include graphics which made it more interesting. They are also practicing their writing skills along with reading as they edited their books. Thanks again for investing in our students who appreciate your donations to their future.”

Yearbook It!
Funded Sep 16, 2020My students are excited about the technology upgrade you, the donors, have provided them with the necessary tools, ipads, and surface to use in creating this years 2020 yearbook. With working from home virtually, students will use the ipads to collect data and share with our yearbook platform as well as keeping in contact with their editor (me). Most of my students do not have personal cameras, so the ipads will enable them to take pictures of events and submit them for publishing in this years yearbook.
Many of my students never used an ipad so the experience is phenomenal. This is also teaching them to handle the device with care to provide future students with the same opportunity. My students have choices now! Instead of using their cell phones to take videos and pictures, my students can now use ipads and submit the documents immediately to avoid late submissions.
We can't thank you enough for your generous donations and investing in the education of our students. Your donations will blast my students into the modern day of technology and keep them focused on the prize winning yearbook publication.”

This classroom project was brought to life by The DonorsChoose 20th Anniversary Fund and one other donor.Wings of Love!
Funded Aug 4, 2020Thank you to all the generous donors who helped fund this special project for my students. Their minds are so full of stories that need to be told. With the use of this special gift from the donors, my students will be able to create masterpieces of pictures and video that they can be proud of as well as being exposed to career choices and drone certification.
Using a drone for hi tech photography and video is exciting to our students and will spark their creativity to create exceptional footage for school promotions and research a career in drone flight where they can also become certified pilots.
This will increase attendance and give the students a chance to do what they do best, which is use their creativity to create something that may even be a potential career.
From the bottom of my heart, I thank you all that donated to the future of our students by expanding our technology resources.”

Funded May 8, 2019My students are so eager to receive their turn as school photographer. Morale and attendance have improved in my classroom just from using a high end camera. Everybody wants to be a photographer now!
Students love to take pictures with their phones and using this high end camera has open new doors for them. They especially love the video feature on the camera and are amazed that you can share the vid or picture instantly with the wifi feature.
I have a couple of students who use the camera daily, they are my main school photographers and said they will ask their parents to purchase one of their own after graduation.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Google.org and 12 other donors.Print Production
Funded Aug 30, 2018It has been an honor to receive your financial support for my Dremel Digilab 3D20 3D Printer This resource enabled me to teach Designing, Math concepts, do collaborations, and production of real-world products using a 3d printer and all forms of media.
My students are so grateful that now they can use this Dremel Digilab 3D20 3D Printer as a fundraiser tool while exploring business options and working hands-on with potential customers to design objects for printing.
I was able to collaborate with other classes that design in cad and print with a 3d printer while in a business setting, enables students to get a hands-on opportunity to design, print, display and share with the student body. Students will use reading, writing and math skills as they used available software and computer lags to design and print models in class and share with CTE classes. These activities brought 21 Century Skills into my classrooms while helping students to build relationships, be innovative and find their passion for creativity all in a fun learning and student-friendly environment .The project overall assisted in fostering the CTE Career Pathway for students.”
