Reading is a skill that opens the door to early academic success. The better a child reads, the more successful that child will be throughout their academic career. Conversely, without strong reading skills even bright children may flounder and fail. Our class uses iPads and a reading app to increase daily reading time in our students. We need eight headphones that can stand up to daily use by five and six year old's. The original set assigned to our classroom was made of hard plastic and they are almost all broken now. Listening to good reading is essential in growing good readers. These foam headphones will help my students continue to grow as readers, as scholars, and as citizens of the world. That is quite a lot for such a small investment.
