My classroom is non-traditional! I teach students identified as having Dyslexia, and learning disabilities related to math and reading. If I could describe my classroom in five words, I would say it is: engaging, creative, rigorous, authentic, and honest. I have such a passion for teaching student groups that have been "left behind". They come to me and I give them all the tools they need to be successful. Together we make and achieve goals, hold each other accountable, and bring creativity into academics. They are accountable, true, and eager to learn. They won't let anyone tell them they can't do anything. Together, our classroom community has become a family, one that I am extremely grateful to have.
