Funded Sep 20, 2019My students and I are so very happy with the supplies that we have received from your most generous donation. The supplies have helped my students to have the necessary paper, pencils, notebooks, etc to be successful as well as having the necessary supplies that they need for school.
My students were so excited when the supplies came in and they were so eager to help unpack the boxes as well as putting out the supplies for everyone in our class to use. They love having pencils at their disposal without wondering how they are going to get pencils as well as paper to use in class as well as for their homework.
The notebooks are used by the students in their Health and Chinese class, as well as journals for the students to use in our Language Arts class. My students love to journal and write about their day and what they are thinking about. In my class, the students use index cards for their vocabulary words as well as to help them to study their elements and symbols.”

My students were so excited when we received these supplies and it made their day. They were so excited and they helped me to organize and place the items in our classroom supply closet. They love using the supplies to assist with what learning their are doing in class.
In looking in our classroom, you would see our students accessing the various supplies during their daily learning. Students are able to attain the items that they need, when they need it. The supplies have also assisted the student in learning how to be more independent as well as being able to advocate for what they need to be successful.
In our classroom, we have students that are responsible for refilling our supplies and helping to maintain their independence in their learning environment.”

Drawing and Creating Anime for Enjoyment!
Funded Mar 27, 2018Thank you very much for your amazing donation of drawing items for my students. My students love to draw in their free-time or on their down-time. Drawing is a way for my students to express themselves as well as giving them the chance to explore the creative world that they love to explore. My students will ask to borrow the drawing book, pencils, and paper so that they can draw when they are finished with their lunch and it is amazing to see what they create when they come back from lunch!
The drawing pads and pencils are used especially during our "Anime Club" time in which my students will use the drawing book to create items from the book or they will use it to enhance their own creations. Drawing is something that my students love to do and it allows them to escape to a place in which they are the masters of what they are drawing and creating.
What I would like to do with my students is to allow them to create a classroom story book in which they can let the world into our special classroom world. My students love to create comic books of their own creations and I would love to be able to help them to foster this love and to be able to submit their drawings for publication too.
Thank you so very much for this amazing donation, it helps my students to create and develop their special drawing skills. This donation will help them to broaden their love of drawing.”

Funded Mar 27, 2018Thank you so very much for your most generous donation to my classroom. My students love having all the amazing sensory items that they can interact with along with in our sensory area in our classroom. The items that I have purchased have been used by the students during their "break time", which occurs in between their academic lessons.
During our exploratory time with the items the students are eager to show the adults in the classroom, the amazing item(s) that they are exploring and playing with. The students love playing with the various sensory items (i.e. spinners, tactile objects, squeeze balls, along with a various other items). These items have made an amazing effect in my students daily school life. It gives them something to share and interact with their other classmates with during their break time.
Going forward, I would like to have the students be able to use these items during their therapy sessions as well. I would like to also use the various sensory items during my Mathematics lesson in which the students will work on adding or subtracting the items (i.e. sensory items) that are in front of them,
Thank you again so very much for your most generous donation to my classroom as well as to the well being of my students!!”
