I am the teacher of the Life Skills Special Education Classroom in Riverton High School. I have 16 amazing students, all with various disabilities. Each have great attendance and fantastic attitudes. They begin everyday as if it will be the best day it has ever been. I also have about 90 Peer Tutors every semester, who facilitate, and make my classroom thrive as they work one-on-one with my students. They constantly are helping them receive the supports they need; they make it possible for them to participate in the general education classrooms. My classroom would be impossible to run without the assistance from my peer tutors, aids, parents, and help from the community. Even the tiniest bit makes a huge difference and every individual person holds a special place in the hearts of my students and me.
