My classroom is filled with joyful and energetic 4 and 5 year olds! As a first year teacher, I do not have the resources I need to provide them with all of the learning experiences that they deserve. I currently have a classroom library, dramatic play center, and building center. I am constantly looking for ways to improve my learning environment to best meet the needs of each and every child that walks through my classroom door. I work in an inner city school; many of my children come to me with limited learning experiences, as well as limited access to healthy foods and lifestyles. I believe that each and every family that I work with is doing their absolute best to provide for their child. My classroom is not only a place where children learn, but a place where they are nurtured, and where their families feel welcomed, valued, and validated.
