  • Make Hands on Colorful Learning Happen

    Funded Oct 16, 2024

Thank you so much for making my project come to life! With the materials I received, I've been able to print in color, which makes a major difference in learning for my students. I have also been able to incorporate more drawing with colors and cutting when it their daily lessons.

Furthermore, these materials have also helped me to create resources for students to help them learn! My students love coming to class everyday, getting to hold and use resources that they can refer to, and learn in different ways.

Donors like you make it possible for learning to happen in public schools everyday and I am a teacher who is eternally grateful for that.”

  • Mid-Year Stock Up for Increasing Engagement

    Funded Jan 8, 2024

Thank you so much for helping me receive materials mid-year to engage students. We know that it students can sometimes feel the lull when every day can be a bit monotonous, but these materials definitely perked them up. With the the tabletop whiteboard, students were happy to engage with it and be able to write and share their ideas. This helped them take ownership of their learning. The other materials such as pocket charts displayed vocabulary to my ELLs and much more. The lamination sheets were used to make personal key rings for scaffolds my students needed. This greatly supported their learning and as a result, they were able to make amazing gains for the rest of the year.”

  • Supplies for Success

    Funded Sep 11, 2023

Thank you so much for the supplies that helped my students become successful. Especially at the start of the year, not all students are able to afford basic supplies and this definitely helped go a long way. When my students first saw all the color pencils and markers as well as other art materials provided for them, they couldn't believe the variety they had. As the year went on, students had a space where they knew they could succeed in class because the materials were available for them. Especially in a school with predominately ELLs, color is so important as well has tactile materials. Thank you so much for all the supplies that have supported my students' learning.”

  • Making Small Group Learning Engaging

    Funded Oct 19, 2023

Thank you so much for the small group seating and the whiteboard. These items are necessary for daily instruction and with this, I am able to give targeted instruction to my English language learners. This whiteboard allows me to parallel teach with my co-teacher and when the small group table is not being used, students also use them as flexible seating or joining groups for group work.

When my students first saw these items, they were shocked! It's like a miracle happened overnight. Before, they had to find an empty chair and drag it to the small group table, but now they feel right where they need to be since they see an empty stool waiting for them when they are called and get the attention that they need.

Thank you again for your donation that is truly improving engagement and learning in my classroom.”

  • Books! Books! Read All About It!

    Funded Oct 18, 2022

When I first showed my students the new books that were generously donated by you, their eyes widened and they all ran to my desk begging to me to borrow them from the class library. This is a rare sight given the affects of the pandemic and the daily integration of portable technological devices. Once these books were lent out to my students, they ran to their desks and immediately began to read. Students even tried to sneakily read during non-reading periods!

With my current outdated library that consisted of books even older than me, this was a genuine treat and allowed my students to engage in texts that are more relevant and interesting to them. At the end of the day, reading is reading. This helped increase reading in my class, which helped improve their comprehension and analysis of grade level texts.

Thank you so much for your donation. These books were thoroughly loved and enjoyed by my students and many future classes of students to come.”

  • Back to School Ready: 2022 - 2023, Here We Come

    Funded Aug 27, 2022

Thank you for donating all these supplies to my classroom! I believe that students should start the year strong with all the materials that they need in order to succeed. My students were excited and surprised to see that there were many pencils, color pencils, markers, scissors, and glues for them to use! I don't think they were used to being in a classroom where so many of the materials were already provided by.

We have been in school for 6 months and my students still uses these materials daily. Without this, they would not be able to express their creativity or make their work personal to them. Thanks to you, my students can finish the year strong by producing work that they can be proud of!”

  • Thank You for Being Amazing Classroom Leaders

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

Thank you so much for providing me with prizes to award leadership qualities in my classroom. In my class, I have many student leaders that help to keep the classroom clean, and organized, work collaboratively, and reach their reading minutes!

When my students first saw the materials, they were curious and asked what they were for. I explained to them that these were all things that they could earn when I see them being a leader in class and staying focused.

Now, I definitely see a bigger sense of community in my classroom. At first, students were just working towards a prize, but now I see these qualities embedded in their daily lives and who they are as people.

Thank you so much for continuing to encourage and help the leaders in my classroom grow!”

  • Rewards for Positive Behaviors!

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

Thank you so much for donating rewards for my classroom. Every Friday, students get to shop from the class shop with the points they've earned from showing proactive leadership qualities. Students constantly work on perfecting their transitioning between periods, helping others, using kind language, and persisting through challenges.

When my students first saw the new rewards in the shop, they were so excited! They couldn't believe the amazing things they could earn just by doing the right thing. They dug through all the cool gadgets looking for the ones that resonated with them the most. Being able to shop on Friday gives students a chance to work on their behaviors throughout the week and puts the fun in Friday. They are learning that there are rewards for doing the right thing and are learning to integrate these skills in their everyday lives.”

  • Supplies for Success!

    Funded Aug 27, 2021

Thank you so much for donating supplies to my classroom. These new supplies allowed my students to better engage with learning full time during a pandemic. You can see students writing everyday in their notebooks with their new pencils. The sharpener works wonderfully keeping the pencils nice and sharp so they can continue learning. The whiteboard markers allow students to different modalities to access their learning.

When my students first saw the materials, they couldn't believe that there was someone out there who cared about them so much that they gave them materials to help them learn. They opened the pouches with glee and saw their own personal pencils, erasers, sharpeners, whiteboard markers and whiteboard erasers. They carry their pouches with them everyday to school and keep their belongings organized.

Thank you again for providing my students with these materials. The pandemic has greatly affected education and these supplies better help them to reach their learning goals!”
