  • iPads 'R Us!

    Words simply cannot express the gratitude that has filled my heart by your tremendous generosity. In a matter of a week, we were able to get 4 iPads funded! That is incredible and myself and my students will be forever grateful!

    Having IPads in the classroom is not a luxury anymore but a necessity. Students who just arrived to this country now have an opportunity to exercise in reading and math apps such as raz kids and imagine learning that targets their strengths and weaknesses and fully addresses every single child's needs in the class.

    In the short amount of time that we had the ipads, I was able to bring them home and download many many FREE apps that our children can engage in! This includes Raz kids, splash math, starfall, multiple sight word games, abc ya and many many more! Our readers workshop, math and our word work period has truly transformed and each child looks forward to their assigned day to get the Ipad "and play". It's funny how when an Ipad is involved its considered "play" What they don't realize is just how much they are learning and just how engaging and FUN it truly is! It opens up a whole new world of learning and just by a simple touch of a Ipad!

    I truly appreciate your generosity and your amazing involvement in this project!!

In a class of 29, and one teacher, the iPad will serve as a motivational tool to help support the students in reading, writing, math and certain STEM projects that we want to participate in! iPads serve so many purposes from center time to individual and personalized instruction, all while assessing and developing instruction to meet the needs of those students. The iPads will help me design my instruction to meet the needs of my students as supported by the data that I will get from certain apps and programs! It will also help my English language learners attain phonemic awareness as well as independence and confidence, while they learn this difficult yet enticing English language!

About my class
