Empowering Young Readers with the Goddess Girls: Mythology Meets Magic!
Funded Dec 4, 2024Thank you so much for your generous support in bringing the Mythological Series: Goddess Girls and Percy Jackson books to our classroom! These books have sparked an incredible interest in Greek mythology among my students, and they've become some of the most sought-after titles in our class library. The stories of gods, goddesses, and heroes have inspired my students to dive deeper into myths and legends, helping them make connections to history, literature, and even their own lives.
When the books arrived, my students were beyond excited! Many of them immediately recognized the titles and couldn't wait to start reading. Watching their enthusiasm grow as they discovered new adventures has been so rewarding. These books have also encouraged some of my reluctant readers to pick up a book and explore genres they hadn't considered before. Discussions about bravery, friendship, and making choices—key themes in both series—have sparked meaningful conversations in our classroom.
Moving forward, we plan to use these books as part of a mythology unit where students will create their own mythological characters and stories, inspired by what they've read. Funded Oct 19, 2024Thank you for making our Cricut project a reality! We are so excited about the endless possibilities this tool will bring to our classroom. The Cricut will allow our students to explore their creativity and take ownership of their learning through hands-on, personalized projects. From custom classroom decorations to interactive learning tools, this resource will be a game-changer for how we bring lessons to life.
One of the first projects we plan to complete is creating student-designed bulletin boards that reflect their interests and achievements. This will help build a sense of community in our classroom, as students collaborate to design and cut out personalized pieces using the Cricut. Additionally, we plan to use the Cricut for holiday-themed crafts, classroom labels, and learning manipulatives, such as sight word cards and math games, to make our lessons more engaging.
Looking ahead, we're excited to integrate the Cricut into project-based learning activities. Students will use it to create props for presentations, book report displays, and even personalized classroom rewards. The possibilities are endless, and this tool will empower students to express themselves in new ways while developing important skills like planning, designing, and problem-solving. During the first week of school, our fourth graders were very excited to sit and cozy up in our updated library. Students were very excited to sit on a nook and feel "at home". Because of you and your generosity, there are 25 students ready to tackle fourth grade with our brand new looking library and a comfy place to sit and indulge in a good book. When the package arrived, our students were extremely excited. They were eager for distribution and get usage out of it right away! The coolest thing was the volume knob on the actual headphones!
Our students especially got plenty of usage out of the headphones especially doing iready! All students were able to focus on their own work and not hear distracted noise!

Funded Nov 14, 2021We would like to thank you sincerely for this generous donation and addition to our classroom. Because of your generosity and kindness our ICT class has been able to have small group again in a safe manner and children are all engaged and ready to learn!
When the package arrived, our students were extremely excited. They were eager for us to put it together and get usage out of it right away! They witnessed kindness from complete strangers and that was very special.
We have used this table for small groups for all subjects and when we take assessments. Students with IEP's are able to comfortably sit at our table with ample room and with the proper modifications. They feel included and comfortable.

It is only with your help, that my class was able to receive three extra kindles to access valuable web sites, insightful knowledge and apps! During the day, more students are able to research and in the words of one student make learning "awesome"! Because of you, we were able to do research clubs a lot faster, create PowerPoint's that showed off not only our reading and writing skills, but skills in technology!

Books Galore!
Funded Dec 14, 2017Thank you so much for your generosity in helping my students receive leveled books in their library! With your help, not only did we "spice up" our current library, but we increased levels and able to support ALL students including those who are on grade level, and above grade level! Not only are these books engaging and new, they also continue to motivate the students and instill a love for learning and reading! We now have new characters to study, and new material to read and discuss! We already started to dive in to our new books and will continue to explore more and more in the wonderful world of reading!
