A self-contained classroom of Specialized Academic Instruction with a ratio of 10 classroom staff members to 11 high school students in addition to the classroom teacher. The students' age range is 14-18 y.o. with grade levels from 9-12. Students have varying levels of education and behavior support needs. The classroom curriculum mainly focuses on life skills or functional academic skills to develop, sustain, and reinforce adaptive/daily living and vocational skills to prepare students to transition into adult life, increase independence, integrate them more into the community, and maximize their participation in the society.
