I work with a variety of learners in grades 9-12. This year (my first year teaching!), I teach both general education and Title I English. I have the privilege of teaching an incredibly bright group with a diverse set of skills and interests. My school provides students with both an academic and vocational education. My experience working in this type of school environment has tremendously shaped the way I view education. In my time working at vocational schools, I have witnessed how passionate these teens are about the work they do in their chosen shops. It has been an incredibly rewarding experience to work in an environment that focuses on career-readiness and technical skill-building.
