• Project Cricut Maker

  Students were so excited to receieve the Cricut Maker! The resources in this project will allow students to design and print t-shirts, hoodies, cups, and various decorations for daily physical environment, words of affirmation, and special events.

  Students are very excited about designing, and creating projects that they can display, and be proud of. Our next project is to design t-shirts for National Hispanic Heritage Month.

  By contributing to this project, students are able to design school-related gear (such as t-shirts, hats, etc) using their artistic talent, display their creativity, and feel good about their accomplishments. We are also be able to reward various student academic accomplishments with personalized gear such as t-shirts or hand towels.

• Fill Our Shelves

  Thank you for generously supporting our Reading classroom. The resources of this project provide our scholars with antiracist materials, and diverse books that help students learn more about racial justice.

  Our goal is to provide students with a variety of high interest books in our campus library to develop life long readers. We want to provide scholars with books that include characters that look like them.

  With these social justice books, our scholars are excited that our education is more complete and effective reckoning with American histories of unjust treatment.”

• Anxiety Cart

  Funded May 8, 2021

  Thank you for generously supporting this project in our Reading classroom. We are so grateful to make a difference in student learning by providing something external to focus on in moments of anxiety. The fidget toys help calm anxiety by providing an outlet for energy. We are grateful to be able to provide our scholars with sensory toys that can help individuals who experience high levels of anxiety to reduce or eliminate the anxiety and presenting symptoms.

The resources in this project allow me to safely distance while delivering high quality instruction to students. In addition, I am able to set up a document camera and laptop. Students all over the classroom are able to easily see me and communicate their academic needs. We're so excited that the standing desk is portable and allows me to work from anywhere in the classroom.

• Antiracism Advocates

  We are so excited to support equity, promote inclusion, and use our voices to spread awareness about social injustices. When the Cricut Joy Machine and its essentials arrived we couldn't hardly wait to create our very first anti racism project!!!

  We are able to make a difference in students learning by helping to promote anti racism. We celebrate the diversity in our classroom and teach our students to do the same. The resources of this project enable our students to share their own experiences and perspectives.”
