  • We Want to Listen to More Books!

    Funded Apr 8, 2022

Thank you so much for funding this project. My third grade students absolutely love the new audio books. These audio books will be used over and over again by our students. Your generous donation will not only allow our students to share reading experiences with their peers but will also improve their reading skills by exposing them to books they would not have been able to read on their own. This project supplied my students with high quality, high interest books and my third graders are enjoying the books while boosting their reading fluency, comprehension, word recognition and I could easily go on.

It is so important to keep my students working, learning and engaged, while having fun at the same time. The materials that your donation purchased will help with this! I cannot thank you enough.”

  • Oh, The Places We Will Go! Adventures with Virtual Reality!

    Funded Apr 8, 2022

Thank you so much for your help in purchasing the Oculus - VR headset. This VR headset is helping my students gain new knowledge and visit places and have experiences they would not get to have otherwise.

This new technology is very exciting to my students. They are thrilled by being able to go to new places and feel like they are really there. Several of my students who are not interested in anything get excited and ready to learn with the thought of getting to use this device.

Again, my heart is truly grateful that you helped provide my students with this valuable piece of equipment.”

  • Providing Warmth This Christmas!

    Funded Nov 24, 2021

Thank you so much for your generosity! My students were so excited to receive these for Christmas and to enjoy over the holidays. I passed out the blankets on the last day before Christmas break. It was very cold here in North Dakota and during break, we had a huge snow storm. Some of the students told me they used to the blanket every single day during break and wanted to bring it with them back to school.

I couldn't do what I love with out the support of generous donors like you! You make my students very happy and that makes me happy! Thank you so much!”

  • Critical Thinking with STEM Bins!

    Funded Oct 25, 2021

The STEM bins has been very successful in my class. Students use them daily during Morning Work and throughout the day when they complete their assignments. Students are building varies structure that take time and patience. I find my students carrying over strategies used in their building other academic curriculum, such as math and reading. When the STEM bins are used as a science experiment for the whole class, student are asked to explain their structure, why they used the tools provided, what difficulties did they face and what would they change. These questions get them thinking as independent learners and educating each other as they work cooperatively in pairs or groups. We have taken STEM bins to a whole other level by integrating them daily and using them not only for educational purposes but for fun. We really appreciate your donations and the HUGE contribution you have made to our learning environment in class.”

  • Fueling Readers one Book at a Time

    Funded Oct 21, 2021

I wanted to thank you for your generous donation to our library. Our students really enjoy reading books about a variety of topics. It's nice to be able to replace our worn books with brand new hardcover books. I am especially grateful because this is my first year as an in-person teacher at this school - I taught during COVID, virtually. It was a great way to start the new school year! I was able to promote and advertise new books in our classroom. The students were very excited to see the new topics added to our library. Thank you so much! And thank you for supporting our school wide literacy goals for our new school year.”

  • SHELVE IT!

    Funded Oct 6, 2021

Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. These items are so important to help keep our classroom organized which helps provide an amazing academic area for our students! So many of my students come from chaotic homes where school truly is an escape for them. I hope to make my classroom into a refuge for them to learn at their best possible. With these shelves, I was able to organize our books with similar interests, and reading levels. That has made a huge difference in my students being able to find books that interest them. It has also made finding a book a quicker process, so students spend more time reading and less time finding books. Thank you so much for donations to such a wonderful and deserving group of kids!”

  • Hopping Back Into The Classroom Successfully

    Funded Jul 22, 2021

Thank you so much for all your generous donations! The smiles on my student's faces when they received their supplies were priceless. For many of my students receiving this gift made their first day back into the school year more enjoyable in this very difficult time. My students and I cannot thank you all enough for your donations, support and your kindness. The students were so happy to receive such a thoughtful gift. For myself, the teacher, I was incredibly thankful with tears of joy when my project funded. Supplies for the classroom goes a long ways, and I was able to organize my classroom and use charts throughout the first week- making classroom management stream, confidently. :) Thank you for sharing your kindness to the world.”

  • Sit to Learn - Don't Learn to Sit

    Funded May 3, 2021

Thank you so much for all the support. COVID has made school look different within the past few years but support from people like you make it just a bit easier. My students are definitely enjoying the flexible seating we received as gifts through you and your kind donations in this time of need. A different type of year has helped me as a teacher work wonders in reaching each and every student, individually. However, without all your support, my success would be history and our love for growing would be make it remarkably hard to surface due to all the shortages.

    Thank you again.”

  • Flexible Seating Learners

    Funded Mar 31, 2021

Thank you all so much for funding my project! This has been the most perfect gift in every single way. This incorporates a way for a student to get lost in their book or for flexible seating. My students love this new addition to our classroom - If they could, they would definitely sit on it ALL day. I have also been using it for our centers, which allows for two students to sit on this couch, comfortably. I plan to make another project, in hopes to get another one in the classroom. Again, Thank you all so much - Bless you and your family!”

  • Gifts to End a Special Year of Third Grade!

    Funded Jun 11, 2021

Thank you for your donations to this wonderful project! Each student was able to receive a couple treats and their very own "Have You Filled A Bucket Today" book.

With each and every donation, you all helped honor each third grade scholar with your donations. It has been a couple challenging years due to covid restrictions, virtual learning, but we did it. I wanted to acknowledge each student's hard work during this crazy online year and your contributions allowed me to do just that! Thank you - miigwetch!”

My goal with this project is to reach the students' environmental needs and establish a setting to which it will benefit their learning. This is crucial for a high poverty area, or any area for that matter. Over the past few weeks, my students have had a change in their schedule. They've been volunteering to do part in public speaking which is a HUGE step in the right direction for them. Hence, the reason for the laptop cart. The students will be creating and delivering an effective speech to the class. This will go with our lesson plans on the five steps to the writing process along with sharing their paper with the whole classroom. I believe there's a number of benefits public speaking does for students which includes overcoming fear of public speaking, developing leadership skills, and becoming a go-to person for ideas and solutions. The materials in this project will be able to brighten my classroom and develop a home feeling for learning. The chairs and furniture will provide flexible seating in my class for the few who need to move more frequently. The learning white boards will enable me to incorporate class assessments or exit tickets individually or through group work in the classroom for math. I will be able to see who is struggling and who is excelling in solving math problems, spelling or explaining a point briefly. The educational resources like the math charts, posters, pocket chart, will enable our class to be a visually rich classroom for the students to have a refresher around the room. This project opportunity will provide our third grade class with a variety of visual supports and anchor charts to expand their learning and help boost student retention.
