  • Creative Critical Thinking Skills

    Funded Nov 4, 2024

want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generous donation to our STEM building project. Because of your support, my students had an incredible time exploring their creativity with LEGO sets, especially during the Christmas break. It was truly magical to see their excitement as they built models, shared ideas, and immersed themselves in the joy of hands-on learning.

The bracelet-making kits were also a huge hit! The students couldn't wait to open them and start crafting bracelets for their friends and family. Some even mentioned their desire to sell them—future entrepreneurs in the making! Your generosity has not only provided fun activities but also helped inspire creativity, innovation, and teamwork among my students.

Thank you for making such a meaningful impact in their lives. Your kindness and support have made a lasting difference, and we truly appreciate you!”

    With gratitude,

It’s donors like you who help bring excitement and opportunity into the classroom, and for that, I am incredibly grateful.

Your generosity is not just a gift—it’s an investment in the future of these students. Knowing that there are people who believe in the importance of education and are willing to contribute to our classroom fills me with gratitude and inspiration. • Enrichment Activities Needed

    Funded Aug 5, 2024

First and foremost, I would like to take this moment to thank all of you for participating in funding this project. Thank you.

The gift cards from TPT have greatly helped with effective planning and gave us other ways to learn in the classroom. I was able to purchase activities published by other educators through TPT to engage my students. TPT has allowed me to give my students access to thousands of more resources.

Your donations have not only made a difference in the classrooms, but also in the lives of the students. Your support has helped provide high quality teaching resources that leave a lasting impact on my teaching practices.

I look forward to purchasing other resources from TPT that will enhance classroom learning, while still having fun.”

    With gratitude,

  • One Functioning Laptop

    Funded Apr 12, 2024

Thank you once again for your generous donation to our project. Due to your support, our students have been enjoying greater hands-on access to incorporate screen sharing and notetaking. The data for sight words, multiplication facts, test scores are convenient in search of clicking on a quick bookmark. This helps the teacher, alongside others who might sub in the classroom. Donors like you make visions a reality. Thank you!

In addition, I am thankful to DonorsChoose.org for creating and maintaining this wonderful organization that connects donors with amazing and worthwhile projects. This opportunity encouraged me to dream big for my students and for my school. Thank you so much for helping make dreams a reality!

I am so thankful for this gift to us. The possibilities with this computer are endless! I cannot thank you enough.”

  • Focusing Fidgety Minds!

    Funded May 10, 2024

I want to thank each and every one of you. You have impacted the classroom by saving learning time by minimizing classroom interruptions. The students that are in need of this resource have benefited greatly. They refocus and redirect themselves to the board without being told. The fidget bands work wonders for my busy bodies in the room.

The students look forward to coming to class and visually seeing what they're expected to do in the mornings, while capturing a list of their spelling words to begin working. We all appreciate the donations, and you all helped create a smooth classroom environment.”

  • Curl Up With a Good Book!

    Funded Dec 6, 2023

I love curling up under a warm blanket on a chilly North Dakota day wrapped up on the couch reading a good book! Well, that's what this project was all about! I wanted my students to have this same experience! With your support, I was able to give them that magic and provide each of my students with their own blanket to keep them warm and cozy this winter while reading a book during Christmas break. I was excited to see their reactions when they opened up their gifts of the blanket and a book! They had the same magical experience that I love!

Now they can curl up with a good book all winter long snuggled under their blanket!

Thank you so much for fostering a love of reading in our students here at Dunseith Elementary School. We need all the help we can get when it comes to supporting the learning and basic needs of our students. They were overjoyed last month when they chose their blankets and books. Thank you for bringing so many smiles to their faces!”

  • Classroom Makeover

    Funded Sep 6, 2023

Thank you for your generous donations to my project. With your thoughtful donation, my students have a flexible area to sit while being comfortable. Students also were able to receive a book stand to help display our books.

The book display makes it easier to transition when picking a new book to read, very quickly through transition time. The new chair and table also bring comfort to the room I did not realize was missing until I added them. These items are popular in our classroom; therefore, I am planning on getting multiple of the tables along with the chairs. Right now, students get their name drawn each day for them. Sharing is caring though. Thank you so much, my students and I appreciate it more than you know!”

  • Auditory Technology Learners

    Funded Sep 19, 2023

The headphones have provided the kids so much more focus when using our chrome books. They were surprised to see they're they were Bluetooth. They all know they are responsible for the headsets. If I find one laying around, they get one warning, then lose them for a day. So far no one has lost their headphones. We have started a new reading app that headphones are needed for; these is a lifesaver. It has also created a quieter environment. We are also able to complete state testing with working and comfortable headphones multiple times a year. The durability of these headphones is amazing. They really enjoy being able to listen to stories or play games with a friend.

    Thanks so much.”

  • A Sensory Garden to Explore!

    Funded Jul 17, 2023

I am so happy and excited for the donations you provided to fund our class project. This project has motivated my students. Students who are pickier eaters or did not eat breakfast, the variety of snack choices have been a huge hit. It has helped them reach expectations during our morning work and especially during reading groups. The light covers has been an amazing difference for my students who have disabilities or who are on the busier side. Thank you for being generous and caring about students in need, we need more people like you in this world to inspire and support students. You're the best!”

  • Stay Organized in Your Space

    Funded Jul 14, 2023

Thank you so much for supporting my classroom. One of the biggest things I try to teach my kids is how to stay organized. Personally, I cannot work in an unorganized environment, and neither can most kids. Starting Week 4 and the students are enjoying their locker space in our room. In their words, "We're lucky to get lockers, right teacher." They are an important part of my classroom as it is a central location for everything to be kept. It also teaches my kids the importance of responsibility for their own work and supplies. The beginning of the year, I was unsure how this was going to plan out, as for the first week was chaos. However, following through on classroom procedures and expectations has helped a bunch. This year, flexible seating, lockers, and table work for groups has been a work in progress. Each day gets better and more quicker. Thank you so much for supporting this project for my students.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. K

My goal with this project is to reach the students' environmental needs and establish a setting to which it will benefit their learning. This is crucial for a high poverty area, or any area for that matter. Over the past few weeks, my students have had a change in their schedule. They've been volunteering to do part in public speaking which is a HUGE step in the right direction for them. Hence, the reason for the laptop cart. The students will be creating and delivering an effective speech to the class. This will go with our lesson plans on the five steps to the writing process along with sharing their paper with the whole classroom. I believe there's a number of benefits public speaking does for students which includes overcoming fear of public speaking, developing leadership skills, and becoming a go-to person for ideas and solutions. The materials in this project will be able to brighten my classroom and develop a home feeling for learning. The chairs and furniture will provide flexible seating in my class for the few who need to move more frequently. The learning white boards will enable me to incorporate class assessments or exit tickets individually or through group work in the classroom for math. I will be able to see who is struggling and who is excelling in solving math problems, spelling or explaining a point briefly. The educational resources like the math charts, posters, pocket chart, will enable our class to be a visually rich classroom for the students to have a refresher around the room. This project opportunity will provide our third grade class with a variety of visual supports and anchor charts to expand their learning and help boost student retention.
