High Alert, Colored T-shirts
Funded Sep 17, 2014My Students loved the T-Shirts, they use it for all of their field trips and community walks. We use the shirts to assure that our students can be seen when we travel to crowded places. One of our main objectives other than having a fun and educational time is to ensure the safety of our students.
This project helps our students and their parents save money since they wont need to purchase certain uniforms or outfits for field trips. Our students also learn how to conform to a dress code and have responsibility that can be used in their future experiences (such as in their careers). We would like to Thank you again for all the support and help you have given us to obtain our T-Shirts.”

Gymnastics, Track and Field
Funded May 7, 2014This project helped create a more extensive Gymnastics, track and field curriculum for my students. We now have Mats, a trampoline and so much more to help us train in these activities. None of this would have been possible if it wasn't for you donating toward our project.
My students loved the equipment and were engaged in each lesson. I can't thank you enough for the educational support you have given us. We create obstacle courses and small Track & Field events to replicate how this equipment would be used in real life competitions.
We are learning about gymnastics as well as track and field to help prepare us for other sports. These sports help our motor skills which can be transferred into any other sport. Thanks again!”

Learning Healthy Lifestyles
Funded Feb 6, 2014This project helped create a more extensive health curriculum for my students. We now have books, replicas and so much more to help us learn about all types of lessons like nutrition or the human body. None of this would have been possible if it wasn't for you donating toward our project.
My students loved the equipment and were engaged in each lesson, they even asked during Physical education if they are going to be able to look at the health equipment too. I can't thank you enough for the educational support you have given us.
We create projects with the games, cards and pictures to help us learn about healthy lifestyles. In one project, we selected a picture of our favorite food or drink from each food group to make an ideal food plate. Thanks again!”

Improving Health, Fitness and Knowledge!
Funded Dec 28, 2013My students were very excited when they saw all the new equipment that came in, we just finished our basketball unit and we used the RHINOskin® Super Squeeze Basketballs which were very helpful. The students didn't have a chance to use equipment like this to practice before so it was difficult for them to practice passing or dribbling. These soft basketballs made it safe and fun for students to practice with partners and teams.
In our next unit we will be using the RHINO® Soft-Eeze Tetherball and Nasco Launcher with Ball to practice our eye-foot coordination. These are perfect lead ups to soccer. The tetherball is stable in a certain area for them to practice kicking and the launcher uses both eyes, foot and hand coordination which we are working on.
This project allowed me to expand my units and progress from simple skills to more complex using a variety of new equipment. I would like that thank all of you again for all the funding and support!”

Help Healthy Habits
Funded Dec 29, 2013My students were extremely excited when they saw all the new equipment, I used the Healthy Helpings⢠A MyPlate Pocket Chart and Squishy Human Body to teach this month's health lessons on healthy living. The students learned about what foods are good to eat and which ones are not, the chart reiterated the points I used in my lessons. I also taught my students about their body and how it works, we used the squishy body to figure out how we digest food.
For my next unit I am going to work on breathing and how the lungs work. We will use the BioQuest® Inflatable Lungs Kit to see how air goes in and out of the lungs when we breathe. The students will also review past lessons and see how eating certain foods may block their arteries using the Artery Section with Blockage.
This project allowed me to have visuals, examples and hands on work for my students to do with my health lessons. I would like to thank you all again for all the funding and support! Thank you!”

Mr. Starr
