Because of you, our students are being exposed to better literacy education that will continue to support them in their growth.

Our students don't get the opportunity to receive new school materials at their fingertips, so your donation has made our students feel special and important!

  • Organized Classroom!

    Funded Dec 30, 2022

Words cannot describe the impact you have made on our classroom. We are now able to function so much better as a unit because we are more organized. The file bins are used for storing our center activities and the index card boxes have been used for store our library cards and any small classroom objects that are in our classroom. Because of this, our classroom has become so much more organized and we are able to function independently without our teacher. This has allowed us to increase our reading scores and improve in our writing. 60% of us are now reading on grade level and our organized classroom has help us get there. Thank you again for your generous donation and love.”

    Ms. Aguiar

  • Reading Materials Galore!

    Funded Sep 20, 2022

I cannot thank you enough for your generous donation to our classroom. I have received magnetic letters and testing dividers for my students. These materials have been used to the fullest and have made a huge impact on our students. Because of the testing dividers, teachers are now able to create a testing environment that is positive and fair. Our testing scores continue to improve and students are thriving. The magnetic letters have come in handy during small group instruction. Students make words on cookie trays and are able to use these manipulatives as a part of their learning. Using the magnetic letters for learning has improved reading scores drastically at our school and placed us at 50% of students now reading on level.

With your support, we have been able to make positive impacts at our school.”

  • Markers for Reading Fun!

    Funded Dec 13, 2022

It is such a privilege to have your support with our students! Our students love the new Bob books we received and have been reading them with our interventionist with great enthusiasm! Because of you, our students are being exposed to early structured literacy that will continue to support them in their growth.

We also received dry erase markers that are being used in multiple classrooms during reading intervention time. Students are able to mark new words read on white boards and are doing it with ease because we no longer have issues with students not having markers to use.

Thank you so much again for being a change agent and supporting our scholars!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Aguiar

  • Reaching Out to the Community

    Funded Aug 22, 2022

The ipad that was purchased for the classroom has been a huge benefit to my students! They have used the ipad for more than just the community garden pamphlet. We are able to access a vocabulary app that is used during small group instruction. This is helping improve their reading, research, and vocabulary skills that will in turn support them with their reading levels. My students are extremely excited about the new resources that they have to be able to work. Learning with technology is different than working with paper and pencil.”

  • Extra Reading and Science Practice Galore!

    Funded Apr 7, 2022

Your generous donation has been a huge blessing for my students. With your support, we have been able to purchase extra reading and science materials from an online platform called Teachers Pay Teachers. The resources that were purchased focused on reading and science instruction to support different levels of student learning during center time in the classroom. My higher readers were able to get differentiated lessons with worksheets that support their higher reading level. Our data shows that over 50% of our students are reading on grade level in grades K-2 and our science data has shown an increase of 43%. Our students continue to learn and are doing amazing things because of your generosity. We appreciate you greatly!”

  • Writing Journals Galore!

    Funded Nov 14, 2021

The writing journals we received were a blessing! Our students are now able to get through the whole writing process from brainstorming, to drafting, to publishing. All parts of their writing is now located in one easy place, their writing journals! These primary journals also have a space for them to draw out their writing on every single page, allowing them to be illustrators. These primary journals also contain primary writing lines that teaches our students how to write neatly and in between the lines! Thank you so much for your support and your continuous belief in our students! ”

  • Extra Reading Practice Galore!

    Funded Sep 13, 2021

It has been so nice being able to purchase extra content on Teacher Pay Teachers for my teachers and students. We have been able to make great strides in our reading and writing with the work we have purchased online. We have been able to write fantasy stories in 1st grade, practice our letters in kindergarten, and have been able to practice our sight words in 2nd grade. All the extra practice is helping us become on grade level readers!

Having a stake holder that supports us in our learning is great. Thank you for everything you have done for us!”

    Funded Dec 31, 2020

I cannot express how grateful I am for your donation that allowed me to purchase resources and curriculum on a shared teacher website called "Teachers Pay Teachers". The resources I have purchased made learning for my students so much more enjoyable. My students have been more than excited to learn and have grown so much as readers! We have played games, created crafts related to reading, and completed practice reading tests in preparation for the Reading FSA Statewide Assessment. I am confident that my students are going to pass the state assessment with flying colors! Thank you again for your generosity and your support.”

My Scholars come from a small historical community in Miami. Labeled as a Title 1 school where 98% of our students are on free and reduced lunch, we were able to defeat all odds and leap from an I school to a C school in a matter of a few years. My Scholars are in grades K-2, critical years for learning how to read. As a school team, we have established goals, that we will be fluent readers, giving us the opportunity to compete with our higher income peers at other schools. We also hope to leave our grade levels reading above level and if we are behind, to grow at least 1.5 reading levels. We know this is a lot but we also know that we are capable and are determined to do it.
