My Scholars come from a small historical community in Miami. Labeled as a Title 1 school where 98% of our students are on free and reduced lunch, we were able to defeat all odds and leap from an I school to a C school in a matter of a few years. My Scholars are in grades K-2, critical years for learning how to read. As a school team, we have established goals, that we will be fluent readers, giving us the opportunity to compete with our higher income peers at other schools. We also hope to leave our grade levels reading above level and if we are behind, to grow at least 1.5 reading levels. We know this is a lot but we also know that we are capable and are determined to do it.
