• Mac on Science

  Thank you so much for your donation to my classroom. The computer has been helping my students with getting assignments done online. It is a part of our computer center and students go on to complete tests, do remedial activities or do research.

  The students are very excited and happy to have it as a part of the class. It went beyond the classroom because a student(without a home computer) was able to take it home and attach to their TV and Zoom into class and still do assignments while they were out sick for 3 weeks.

  All the students enjoy using computers and everyone now is trying to get an opportunity to take it home. So it has been a great addition to the classroom. Thanks again.”

• Tools for Distance Learning

  I thank you for helping me to get materials that impact my class. In these very strange times we find ourselves as we live through this pandemic and have been forced to teach and learn online, it is important that we have the necessary tools to get it done. With your help I now have some of those tools that I needed to better connect with my students. I was able to take them out and show then bees pollinating a flower, and have a video conference with them being able to see more clearly and hear me better as I went through the lesson. • War on Germs

  This project is making a difference in my classroom because it has made it a cleaner space. I put the soap and hand sanitizer and paper towel right by the door and the students just naturally grab the soap on the way to the restroom. I also see them getting sanitizer as they leave or enter the room for different activities. We use the wipes to clean up after experiments or whenever the students notice that their desks are getting dirty.

  I am hoping all this will help, even if just a little to a lot less illnesses this year, so far so good. Thanks for donating.”

• Help Us Be Ready For School

  The beginning of the school year has been so much smoother because of your generosity in bringing this project to life. We do interactive journals and setting them up would sometimes be difficult because student lacked supplies, but this time it was a breeze. I had out the scissors, rulers glue, pencils and the students were just able to be focused on the work at hand. No one had to wait on someone else to finish and then use their supplies, it was just wonderful. I look forward to future projects with a little less anxiety because I know everyone will have access to the resources to get it done.”

• Learning to be Digital Citizens

  My students were buzzing with excitement when they came in and saw the laptops sitting waiting to be used. I heard one student comment of the screen size and said "that is going to be so much easier to see what I am doing". They have started the year off with a little extra interest in using the technology because they want to use the laptops. During the beginning of the year diagnostic tests the students were all trying to be first to arrive so that they could possibly be first to choose where to test and choose the laptops.

• Getting Techy With It!

  I want to thank you all very much for the contributions that you made to help get this project funded. The extra computers have allowed my students to be more involved with using the technology to get work done in the classroom. I have more students consistently making their weekly goal for their online intervention program. I see the students taking the initiative to study and practice their weak skills using the online resources. As one student said "I'm so glad we have more computers because it gives me a better chance to use one daily since I don't have one at home."”

• Internet Stars

  Thank you all for chipping in and helping to get this project funded. It is great to have support from others to get things done in the classroom. The laptop was joyously received by the students. You heard things like "yes another one", and "omg that looks so cool" or "I wish I had one of these at home." So the Surface Pro has brought a sense of wonder and intrigue. The students have also enjoyed using it to do tasks because its lightweight so they have been interviewing each other and getting video reviews of book they have read. I can't wait to see the continued impact this has in the class.”

• Creating 21st Century Students

  My students and I are very thankful to you for bringing a laptop and printer to my classroom. The students were so excited to have a color printer, one said "finally we can print things in color" and when I explained that it could also do photos the classroom was filled with a buzz of things they could now print and use in their projects and presentations.

  They were also excited to get the laptop as multiple students yelled "yessss, now more people can be on the computer at the same time".

• Technological Centers

  Funded Dec 14, 2018

  The new computers are very helpful and exciting to the students. They are excited about the fact that we were able to get another 2 laptops to go along with the two we received before so now even more students can work independently on their center work. A big impact that these computers are having also is that the students are able to work in a small group to do group activities. One thing they have been doing is a program called Sumdog where they practice different aspects of math through games where they get to compete against each other. So they have been sitting in groups and getting their practice on since the laptops arrived. I can't wait to get a few more laptops to increase the competition. Thank you”
