I have six sophomore English classes of 161 students who arrive every day ready to learn, and I love them all! My students come from all over the world. Their cultures, religions, and languages are diverse. This is the most diverse body of students I have taught. Many are first-generation immigrants in the United States, and their parents brought them to our shores to pursue the American dream. When I think of our country's motto, E Pluribus Unum, I think of them. These students are the future. We have done our best with the resources available in our school district. I have also used my family's finances and brought pieces of our furniture and supplies into the classroom to better my student's classroom experience. I am investing in them and their future. Your generous and meaningful investment will be a momentous moment in our classroom that our students won't forget.
