Virtually Amazing Classroom
Funded Jan 25, 2021Being that I was virtual for the entire 2020-2021 school year, I desired a document camera with a better quality and set up. The one camera that I was using prior, did not work as well, and needed to be replaced so that my students could have a quality visual of what I was showing them. This project being funded lifted a huge burden of wanting a new camera, but also realizing the cost of such a need. I am so appreciative of the new document camera that I know for sure was of great benefit during virtual learning, but will also help when we return face to face. Not only am I grateful for the camera, but the two books and Tpt gift card I received for my classroom. I know that my kids will love the books purchased, and the Tpt products I will get to aid in their learning. Thank you again for everything!”

Virtual Learning Re Up
Funded May 11, 2021When I received the email that my project had been funded, I was so excited. The past year there were a lot of changes, and materials had to be sent home to accommodate online learning. With giving materials to all of my students for home use, I didn't have much left. With the shipment of all the materials I received I was able to replace the whiteboards, and dry erase markers. This was a huge concern because many of the ones I had were not returned, but I am so grateful I got a brand new set! I also received a gift card to Tpt to continue purchasing products for second grade that will be more beneficial and effective for in person learning, for this next school year. I am excited to use all of these materials, and even those not mentioned. I know that everything will be put to great use, and my students this upcoming school year will have a fantastic year as we try to get back to the routines of face to face school. Thank you again for everything!”

Virtually Amazing Classroom
Funded Oct 22, 2020Thank you so much for all of your support for my classroom. Due to your generosity, I was able to purchase online resources and activities for my virtual classroom. These resources and activities allowed for my students to be engaged during learning, and for me to check their progress along the way. Along with these digital resources, I was also provided with rewards for my students hard work. These rewards were used during testing, and the students looked forward to the sweet surprises after a job well done and their hard work. My students were happy, and appreciated everything given. Thank you so much!”

Funded May 5, 2020Thank you so much for your support towards my classroom. I never really understood the important of organization until I was disorganized. With the bins, carts and folders, I have been able to organize my space which also helps me to be better prepared for my children each day. I use the items to store our classroom games, pencils, pens, erasers etc so that they are more accessible for them. This has truly been a game changer, and I am so excited to see how well they work the rest of the year. :)”

Funded Mar 6, 2020When all of the boxes arrived to our classroom filled with books, my students were overjoyed. They couldn't believe the amount of books we were gifted, and all the books they had to look forward to. Before school closures, we had the opportunity to read several of the books during our morning meeting, and they absolutely loved the books, and it also helps that some of the books gave them points towards their reading goal.
Being able to have a variety of books showcasing the differences of others, will definitely allow the students to feel more united and less disconnected in their differences. Even during some indoor recess time due to weather, some of my students would choose to read the books purchased, instead of socializing.
I hope that with this set of books students are able to celebrate each other, and recognize that we aren't all the same. Thank you to all the donors who made this possible, and has allowed my students to explore their differences through literature.”

Funded Dec 17, 2018As we are progressing in the school year, it is super important to be able to easily share exceptional student work. With the camera, I am able to provide my students with examples from their peers on the content we are learning about. For example, in third grade we are learning about text dependent analysis (TDA), and whenever I read a students writing who I believe has done well, it makes it easy to share with everyone. I am also able to go through worksheets along with students. It definitely helps for them to see how I model and represent information on the worksheets I give to them. We also were fortunate to be gifted with more books for our classroom library. While they do have the option of going to the library my students do benefit from the convenience of going to the back of the classroom to pick an interesting book. My students can be found frequently searching the shelves and reading not only the books I previously had, but the ones we have been blessed with from Donors Choose. We are so appreciative of your kindness, and it helps more than you can imagine. The resources I was given, have benefited my students in more ways than one, and its all with your help. Once again thank you so much!”

Flashlight Fridays
Funded Oct 9, 2018My class and I are so thankful that you funded our Flashlight Friday project. We definitely been putting it to great use. From our Flashlight Fridays to using our books and light for fun activities, we have thoroughly enjoyed using everything given to us. My students are always excited to read using our light, and never forget to remind me if it seems like I will forget. This is the time where they are their quietest, and intent on finishing their book picked out from the library. This has encouraged them to not only read, but upon completion of the book taking test on these books to meet their reading goals. Once again thank you so much for investing in my students.”
