Welcome! I'm a 1st-grade teacher at Tom Williams Elementary. I believe a positive and learning environment is an important element to a student's success, especially to our students at Tom Williams who are 98% ELLs. When students are in an environment that is safe and comfortable, they are more willing to engage and experience meaningful activities in class. I understand I'm in the classroom with my students as a learner, and I believe that my students and I are capable of learning and growing together. With that being said, I need to plan and prepare appropriate and challenging materials to guide students to be more analytical and critical as part of their learning journey.
