Supplies for Kindergarten That We Want and Need!
Funded Aug 15, 2024First of all, I want to give a big thank you to all of you. Thanks to your donation, my students now have the materials they need to succeed in class. We have been using all of these materials in our class projects, small and large group activities, and more. We are very grateful for the donations, as you have provided our Kindergarten students with the supplies needed for day-to-day activities and classroom work. We have been painting, gluing, writing, coloring, and enjoying our learning—all thanks to you. Thank you again!”

Funded Aug 23, 2022Technology made an impact on our students education in the classrooms. Students with special needs, especially kids with Autism, need a lot of visuals to understand some concepts. We have a Promethean in our class that we use to complete activities and present new materials to the students.
We have been using the scanner a lot. This allows us to use our Promethean during math and reading lessons to complete class work in a large group setting after to scanned and saving the documents. I can also scan many Individual Education Plans and student documents, and download them to the school website or MDCPS website. I want to say thank you so much for your donation. That helps us a lot.”

Funded Aug 26, 2021The first day that I opened the containers with all the materials to build cars and bridges, my students were exciting. They told me: Ms. Rodriguez we can build a bridge and cars! Since that day, they looked for pictures, and with my support and guidance, they began building different things. They do not only make what the pictures were showing them, but they also built much more. Their imagination was growing with every piece that they made. We are now learning how to build using other materials. We appreciate your generosity.”

Incredible iPad Reading Stations!
Funded Dec 3, 2019I cannot thank everyone enough for this donation. This has truly changed my students' world. My students lit up when they witnessed the unboxing of the new iPads to use for class. It has even contributed to more responsibility and teamwork within my classroom, as they know that these items are a privilege. They have learned to share, be more respectful of materials, and have taken more pride in their work.
We have been using these resources for listening programs, such as online book programs. These devices have afforded my students the ability to access a whole world they could never have imagined at the touch of a button. I can't wait to explore new worlds with my students. As most of my students have limited verbal abilities, I cannot wait to see what new vocabulary words and sounds they will acquire. These devices are lifechanging in my classroom and I am forever grateful for these amazing devices. Thank you so much!”

Funded Mar 2, 2019I cannot thank you enough for these generous donations for my classroom. My students' lives have truly changed since the implementation of these tablets. These tablets have afforded my children the ability to engage in their mandatory computer-based tasks, as well as engage in educational applications and websites to supplement their learning.
The best part about these tablets that my children love is their portability. They enjoy how they can sit in their sensory space, desk, or in another room and still have access to their educational material at the palm of their hands.
My children have learned a new sense of responsibility since implementing these tablets. My students know that they need to treat these items with care in order for everyone to enjoy them for years to come. I have seen my students be more gentle and compassionate as a result of these tables.
I thank you all again for your generous donations.”

Funded Oct 31, 2018I cannot thank you enough for the laptops that I have received. I am so very thankful and humbled by the support of Donors Choose, businesses, and the community in general when it comes to helping teachers and students in the public school setting. These laptops have changed my students' lives. The first day I showed them the items, they were overwhelmed with excitement. They are so excited to use these new laptops, they are not only more motivated (after all, it is a treat to use these new items!), but their diagnostic (i-Ready) scores have gone up as a result. My children with limited verbal abilities are now more actively attempting to model sounds that they hear on the laptops. My students also use the laptops while seating on my homemade flexible chairs for an enhanced learning experience. Overall, they are more motivated to engage in more educationally based computer programs and games, further improving their academic abilities.
My classroom is a more enhancing learning environment as a result of these laptops. I have no words to describe the full impact these items have had on myself and my students. I am forever grateful by your generosity. Thank you so much!!”
