  • School Supply Rock 2022

    Funded Jul 19, 2022

Thank you for opening your heart and donating to my project, School Supply Rock 2022.

We use these items on a daily basis. The lap desk storage unit helps organize my lap desks and keeps the floor area free of lap desks and safe too. The pencil pouches and scissors make getting materials an easy process. We also use the whiteboards daily to solve math problems, share answers, and use in place of scratch paper. Finally, we always have our boxes of Kleenex out because third graders are always getting sick. The Kleenex keep their noses from getting irritated.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Your generosity makes the world a better place. 💜💜💜”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Smith

  • Reading Feeds the Imagination!

    Funded Jul 28, 2022

Thank you for donating to my project. Due to Covid protocols, many of my students have not had access to reading materials. This has led to many American children falling behind in the most fundamental skill, reading.

Your donations to my classroom are helping my students access books and read. On a weekly basis, we learn about the world through Scholastic Magazines. Scholastic has helped my students have a greater world view, piqued their interest in new topics, and improved their reading and comprehension skills. In addition, the book boxes are the perfect size for organizing my chapter book library. Chapter books are new to many third graders, and now they can easily find books by category or author. They are beginning to love reading!

Thank you for helping my classroom. Thank you, Kleenex, for doubling my donations! You make the world a better place!”

    Mrs. Smith

  • The Write Stuff!

    Funded May 6, 2022

Thank you for donating to this very important project. The stools and lap desks have been a great success in my classroom. They are used every day and give us numerous opportunities to collaborate.

As soon as my students saw these stools and lap desks, I knew they would be put to good use. Many of my students prefer the stools because they are portable, and the kids can wiggle their bodies on them. The lap desks are also helpful because they give students choices about where to sit. They can move anywhere in the room and have a sturdy surface to write on or even place their Chrome Books on. These are great tools for the classroom.

Thank you for opening your hearts and donating to my classroom. We appreciate you every single day. Keep being the amazing people that you are. We love you!”

  • As Snug as a Bug in a Rug!

    Funded Jan 7, 2022

Thank you for your generous donations. These rugs are not only beautiful, but they hide the dirt from my students' shoes. In addition, they are smaller and work better in my flexible-seating classroom. We can now walk around the room safely, push our chairs out, and have more rug zones to collaborate with our peers. We love our new rugs!

Without generous donors like yourselves, teachers and students wouldn't get the materials we need for success. You are the heroes of this story. Thank you for being you. The world would be a better place if more people worked together to help our kids. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

  • Organization is the Key to Success!

    Funded Jan 28, 2022

Thank you for donating to my project. You make me feel appreciated, and my kids are extremely thankful to have math manipulative storage for all of their tools. My classroom loves math, and we show our thinking in many ways. We use our math tools to conceptualize math ideas, and kids that need more guidance can use them anytime as needed.

The math tools were very disorganized before this Donors Choose Project. They were in random sized boxes spread throughout the room. Now, the math tools are organized by type, and the kids can easily access them. This storage solution has made a great impact in my classroom. Thank you for all that you do. This year has been tough, but you have made it much better.”

    Mrs. Smith

  • From Mess to Success!

    Funded Jan 10, 2022

Thank you for donating to my classroom. Having a storage cubby helps the students stay organized. It keeps their materials in a safe place and helps them keep their desks neat and tidy. Most importantly, it helps them focus on their studies because they are less distracted when their materials are organized and out of the way.

Classrooms should be better funded so all students have what they need for success. Because of this lack of funding, teachers need to create projects to help their students get what they need. That is where my generous donors come in and save the day. You have helped my students get what they need, and they are improving in their studies. Thank you for helping my classroom. You make the world a better place. You are my angels!”

  • Simplified Storage Needed Now!

    Funded Jan 9, 2022

Thank you for donating to my classroom. We use flexible seating in my classroom, and my students change their seats weekly. Due to this set-up, they do not store their books in a desk which can create a big mess and lost materials.

This much-needed storage has made our classroom experience better. They now store their materials in this cubby. When they need to get materials, they simply walk over, get their materials, and then walk back to their seats. The kids are now organized, and we are losing less materials. In addition, the kids now have a safe place to store their materials. Thank you for making our classroom a better place to learn.”

  • An Active Mind

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

Thank you, Judy B. and Donor's Choose, for donating to "An Active Mind." We were out of my classroom for 18 months. During that time, all my balls had deflated and cracked. Once back, I realized that my kids had not been at school since first grade when this current school year started. They did not know how to play games, kick a ball, or even jump rope. So, that is where you came to my rescue. I purchased a P.E. organizer, balls, cones, and jump ropes. These tools have helped my students work on skills to stay active. We have been running basketball drills, learning how to hit a ball with a bat, and using our feet to practice jump roping. Not only is this a necessity, but it makes school fun. The world needs more people like you. My kids and I thank you for helping us to stay active.”

  • Connect Four

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

Thank you, Judy B. and Donors Choose, for your donations. This project gave me a great start to this year. During the spring, we came back to school on a hybrid schedule. The custodial staff removed most of my furniture and supplies and stored them in a room to keep socially distanced. When I retrieved my materials, they were on their last legs. My headphones and mice were also in disrepair because I let my Zoom school kids use them. Luckily, my donors came to my rescue.

I also received a microphone. I needed a microphone to hear my kids. The masks made their voices soft and mumbled. I repeated everything they shared, and my voice was becoming raspy. Now with the microphone, I can hear all my students. I am so glad to be back in the classroom. I am thankful that you helped me make this a reality. Once again, thank you for your wonderful donations. You are amazing!”

  • Pencils, Pouches, Whiteboards, Oh My!

    Funded Aug 3, 2021

Thank you for supporting my class. Because of Covid, I had given all of my materials out to last year's class. Every item on my list are classroom essentials. Because of Covid, I wanted each student to have their own things. And, that is where you came in

This project was quickly funded and in my classroom with a week.

These materials allow my students to work on their projects and share their answers. We use the whiteboards to write sentences and share our math strategies. The colorful pouches give my students a place to store their materials like colored pencils and markers. The scissors give them an opportunity to work on their art. Being in a pouch, allows them to work in collaborative groups. These are classroom essentials.

Thank you for supporting my class and making a difference in our classroom.”
