  • School Supplies for the New Year!

    Funded May 8, 2024

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You have helped me start the new year right. I got all the materials ready this summer, and they had their pencil pouches and whiteboards on Day One. What a relief!

I have a flexible classroom, and I have to be organized. Your donation helped me achieve my goal. The pencil pouches with materials allow my students to have what they need and to be responsible for their things. The whiteboards allow us to work through math problems without wasting paper. The Kleenex has already been put to good use because the kids got a cold within the first month. Thank you for donating to my classroom. I feel blessed!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Smith

This classroom project was brought to life by Kleenex and 3 other donors.
  • Organizing Is a Journey!

    Funded Feb 14, 2024

Thank you for donating to this very important project. One of the goals of third grade is to help each student stay organized and be accountable for their materials and class work.

One way that we do that is to color code by subject so that they put their materials in the right place for easy retrieval. In addition, my classroom uses flexible seating so organization becomes even more important.

These folders help me build these much-needed organizational skills. By the end of the year, the well-used folders are sent home, and I start all over again.

Thank you for helping me achieve this goal. Keep giving to classrooms around this great country. These kids are our future.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Smith

  • Did Someone Say, Winner?

    Funded Jan 17, 2024

Thank you for donating to my class project. We have been working on the notion of a growth mindset. The kids have been working on learning goals and understanding that some things are hard. These prizes help the kids work towards their goals.

When you help a teacher, you are helping their students, too. Our kids deserve to have a great education, and you are making that possible. Please continue using your kindness to help students around this country. You truly are making a difference in this world!”

    With gratitude,

  • Dream Big!

    Funded Sep 20, 2023

Thank you for donating to my project. This project was needed because my Chromebook cart was damaged during the quarantine, and the school had never replaced it. I was using milk crates to charge the Chromebooks, and the cords kept getting tangled. Now, I have a working charging cart that keeps their Chromebooks charged and the cords organized.

The bridge making science kit has also been a success. Bridges are part of our engineering unit. Being able to discuss, sketch, and put the bridges together have really brought the unit together.

Thank you for funding my project. Keep up the good work and have a wonderful holiday.”

  • Extra! Extra! Read All About It!

    Funded Jul 6, 2023

Thank you for funding my project. This project is an important resource that I use in my classroom. My students do not have a lot of access to the communities around them. Scholastic News allows them to read about other cultures, about careers, current events, and science. It is a source of awe and a great source for my students to talk to each other.

M students are smart and witty. This resource is preparing them for high school and beyond. Thank you for donating to my project. You have made an impact on my students. 💜”

  • You Are the Winner!

    Funded Jun 30, 2023

Thank you for helping me fund this project. The kids have still not recovered from the quarantine. Even though they are only third-graders, many have anxiety and depression. My treasure box is a way to bring a smile to their faces and motivate them to reach beyond the stars.

Without you, I would not have been able to make this project a reality. With inflation and the extreme needs of my students, I am tapped out. The people and companies that support Donors Choose do such a great service to our schools, teachers, and students. They make the dream real. So, keep on supporting our youth. You really do make a difference.”

  • School Supplies for Third Graders!

    Funded Jun 26, 2023

Thank you for helping me fund my classroom basics. My classroom is a flexible seating paradise. They store their materials in three different places. Due to this arrangement, I have to have matching folders and notebooks. In addition, my kids don't have supplies at home so at the end of the year, they can take their school supplies and whiteboards home. Throughout the year, my students use their markers, colored pencils, and whiteboards to complete their work. These school supplies are essential.

Thank you for making my day. When I woke up and discovered that PwC had funded my project, I started to cry tears of joy. You made me feel special. Please keep funding projects. It is needed and appreciated.”

    With gratitude,

  • Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner!

    Funded Nov 30, 2022

Thank you for funding my project, "Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner". The kids have been working hard to overcome the Covid shutdown. I am very proud of them because they have improved their fluency scores and have mastered math skills that they were struggling with. But, they need to be motivated and rewarded for their hard work. That is where the prizes become essential.

My prize box is very motivating. The slime and bubbles are messy fun. We even have sketch books and pencils for all of my budding artists. My kids put in the extra effort because they want to visit the prize box. Thank you for supporting my classroom. You make the world a better place.”

  • Every Backpack has a Home!

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

Thank you for donating to this project. Prior to this project, we were using plastic tubs to store our backpacks and lunches. This was not the best solution because my students would throw the backpacks all over the ground, and I would have to tidy up. Now, all of my students have a place for their backpack and everything stays organized. In addition, if they need to put something in their backpack, it's a quick process. I wish that all teachers t my school had a backpack solution like this.

Thank you for giving to my classroom. This project is well used and loved. Please continue to give to teachers and classrooms on Donors Choose.”

  • Unlocking the Power to Print

    Funded Jul 19, 2022

Thank you for donating to this project. My class needed these printers, and they are appreciated on a daily basis. My students can now print out research articles for their Genius Hour projects, create 3-D models and display them in the classrooms, and print out essays that they completed on their Chromebooks. The printers also allow me to differentiate activities for my students. Every teacher should have their own printers in the classroom. It's a game changer!

The world needs people like you. Please have a wonderful Thanksgiving! We are thankful for you!”

My name is Mrs. Smith, and I love to teach! I am always thinking about and planning new lessons in order to make learning challenging and fun. Our school receives Title 1 funds, and many students come from impoverished and immigrant backgrounds. My goal is to prepare my students to think critically about issues, ideas, and topics that are important to them. I encourage creativity by providing an environment where it is good to think differently and invent new possibilities. In addition, it is my goal to prepare my students in 21st century skills by collaborating on projects, using computational thinking skills to solve problems, and to be digital citizens of the world.
