My middle school science students are able to use TI Inspire calculators, from a previous donation, for basic graphing. We are requesting Innovator Hubs, Breadboards, and I/O Modules to allow my students to write their own code to create hands on projects such as light displays, music, and science fair projects, as well as a simulated Mars greenhouse, underwater rover rescue and much more! With this new technology my students will be able to broaden their knowledge of coding to understand and solve real world problems. From Edutopia- "Wired Magazine reported that reading and writing code is the new literacy. Those students who master it are better prepared for a technical revolution that spans cultures and language boundaries. That's because coding isn't just a language. It's a way of thinking about problem solving."
