Extra Special Swing
Funded May 26, 2023Thank you so much for your donation to such an incredible project for my students with special needs! They LOVE LOVE LOVE the swing! They love to earn the swing for "cash out" time (free time) and it serves a sensory input purpose for the needs of my wiggly students. It truly puts a smile on the faces of so many of my students. Thank you for your support and generosity for this sensory swing and stand. It sits in my sensory room and is a joy for my whole classroom. Everyone that sees it says how awesome it is!”

Funded Feb 9, 2022Thank you so much for your donation to our classroom project, "Carts for Job Skills"!. My students and I appreciate your generosity. The cart is incredibly versitile in our classroom and is used every day for different jobs. We use the cart for our gardening job, cleaning jobs, and paper shredding jobs. The students enjoy pushing the cart to their jobs and to help them transport the materials they need for their job skills. Some of these tasks would not be possible for students without the help of the cart.
Thank you so much for helping my students with this project!”

AHS Classroom Garden
Funded Feb 9, 2022Thank you so much for your donation to our classroom's garden project & job skills activity! Each student got to pick out what seeds they wanted to plant and now we have a full blown garden! The students were able to use the gardening tools to start and maintain the garden.
They are learning so much about what gardening means and how to take care of a garden. And when the garden does not need tending to, they can sort all the leftover seed packets in the organizer.
Thank you so much for helping me start this project!”

Student Recycling Project
Funded Mar 15, 2022Thank you so much for your donation to our classroom's recycling project and curriculum! My students and I are very grateful for your generosity. The students are now learning and practicing recycling different materials and how recycling helps our planet. In seperate bins they are recycling paper, recycling bottles, and crushing and recylcing cans. Soon we will take the full bin of cans&bottles to the plant to earn back some cash for the students to buy things for the classroom! This has been a great project to put together for my students but I couldn't have done it without you!

Music in the Special Education Classroom
Funded May 5, 2020Thank you so very much for helping bring more music to my classroom! We have added many new instruments to our existing piano, guitar, and ukuleles so that now everyone can participate in music together! The students crave expression through music and enjoy participating in playing so many musical instruments! This is a great addition to our classroom and has already impacted the students in a positive way. They light up with joy with the new musical instruments and the time they get to spend playing.

Funded Jul 19, 2020Thank you so very much for these materials to help make my students learning center more accessible! These stands are unique in that they are soft but also sturdy in helping hold up my students' augmented and alternative communication devices (ipads with communication applications). This helps them be able to view their communication icons better without having to hunch over the table to view their screen. And just in case of behavior problems, these materials are soft and won't break. They are sure to last us many years!
Thanks from all of us!”

The students are enjoying turning the pages of my custom-made books for each of them across all subjects including reading, math, and even behavior, and life skills! These materials will be used for many years and benefit lots of students. I cant wait to keep making more custom books for my students!

Monarch Coffee Co.
Funded Aug 18, 2019Thank you so much for your generous donations! The students at Monte Vista are so excited as we are setting up and learning how to start a coffee business. Your donation is opening up new possibilities for these students to learn new skills. The coffee cart has been officially been set up and we are learning the steps that it takes to make and run a coffee business. I have also set up the business so that every level of students are able to participate in some way.
Some jobs involved with the new coffee business are making the coffee, delivering the coffee, collecting money and giving change. We also have students using switches to make requests and other programmed statements.
Again, thank you for your donations and this project will greatly impact the growth and skills of my students!”

Funded Apr 17, 2019Words cannot explain how impactful this project has been for my students, but data is! I have data to support the HUGE impact that this ball chair has made on one student in particular that actually sits in his seat for prolonged periods of time (15-20 minutes) versus 1-2 minutes prior to the ball chair. The ball chair allows the student to wiggle and move while staying in his chair and getting more opportunities for engagement in classroom activities.
Thank you so much for your generous donation! Students are better engaged in learning thanks to you.”
