Everyone knows that technology is huge with today's kids. These kindles will help with their accommodations, keeping track of their data, as well as keeping the kids highly engaged. Paper and pencil are good, but technology is amazing. If you didn't know Special Education is something I'm super passionate about. My mom took me to volunteer in the 3rd grade to special Olympics and that's all it took. Imagine a 3rd grader knowing she would help change the world one kid at a time one day. I followed in my mom's footsteps and now can only hope I make as much of an impact on my students that my mom left hers with
Technology is so important. I teach at one of the lowest schools in my county where all students receive free lunch. Some of the textbooks we use I had when I was in 3rd grade 21 years ago. Having these kindles will help with their accommodations, keeping track of their data, and enhance performance. Providing my students with their own (in the classroom) kindles could be just what they need to learn. Kids these days need technology, they need that brain simulation.
