This netbook will be used by students with high functioning Autism who belong to a special pilot program where the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) are used to teach and change learning behaviors. The students in our program attend a learning center and mainstream to general education for academics and social interaction. They were chosen for this program because they demonstrate aggressive and noncompliant behaviors that severely impact learning although they have the cognitive ability to function within their grade level. Through reinforcement and use of motivational activities (i.e. using the computer to learn) our student's desirable behaviors have increased and exceeded our goals. The only computer available at this time is one computer for 10 students.
