  • Classroom Supplies

    Funded Sep 26, 2023

We are very thankful that you helped us get off to a great start in the new school year and funded our Classroom Supplies project. My students were so excited to see the supplies. They all had smiles when I passed out three pencils and emoji erasers to add to their individual resource boxes. We had classroom supply monitors, who refilled the printer and stapled papers when needed which gave my third graders a sense of responsibility and independence. During independent reading time or when they are not feelin their best, they enjoyed reading social emotional books about characters that look like them.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Reyes

  • Hard to Hear!

    Funded Dec 11, 2023

We want to thank you so much for your generosity. I can't begin to tell you what it means to these kids to have information at their fingertips! They are sweet, hard-working, highly intelligent kids who sometimes just need a little quiet in order to concentrate and you are all part of that for them. The tech tools will help them stay healthy and engaged. I will send or post pictures of how we are using our handy-dandy tech tools to help us keep focused.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Reyes

My five year old students are from the borough of the Bronx in NYC. They are use to hard times. Please help me get them out of sitting on HARD, old, plastic chairs. Flexible seating will help my struggling students focus on their work or projects at hand. My students’ come in with all sorts of baggage. I want them to leave that baggage at the door and see all the beautiful seating opportunities that fit their needs through out the day. I have a student who doesn't want to sit in the chairs and wants to be on the floor. The floors are cold and hard, with appropriate seating, I am sure he will be able to concentrate and be more engaged with his work.
