  • Help Craymond Move Out of His Mother's House!

  • Shining Light On Rembrandt

    Thank you so much for your generous donation to our class project! When the students saw the canvases, they became so excited to investigate shadows and Rembrandt. One of my students, Matthew, declared that he was "officially an artist" as he was able to use the canvas on our classroom easel just as Rembrandt did in the 1600s. We displayed their portraits in our school art show where the students demonstrated shadows and creating the pieces of art like Rembrandt.

I teach at a NYC Pre-K For All site in Queens. Our program provides a safe, student-initiated learning environment where children are able to explore the world around themselves and create meaningful memories, connections, and understandings that will help them become life-long learners. Our students represent the vast diversity that Queens has to offer, with many children being the first in their families to learn English. Despite these differences in background and language, our students come together to show that education is the key that opens the door to the world of possibilities.

About my class
