Since I started teaching at HHS, I have been instrumental in offering electives such as Astronomy, Botany, Environmental Science, Weather, Anatomy, Physiology, Earth’s Evolution, and next year Forensics and Oceanography. The goal is to spark students' interest in science with courses they have expressed interest in. Funds have become harder and harder to access and this means that the two new electives have no materials. These students will use this text along with guest speakers in the field to better comprehend what real-world forensics is like compared to what they see on television and in the movies. I hope that this class, along with these books, will inspire a few students to take a leap in pursuing a career in one of the sciences taught.
