• Little Bit of This and Little Bit of That

  Thank you so much for donating to my first grade classroom. I love having items to engage my young learners and get them excited about school! These very items will help me to do this.

  I'm excited for the students to use the stencils and colored paper during crafting time and recess. They love the opportunity to work with new and exciting things!

  The buttons are going to really help with centers and giving directions while I am working with a small group.

  Finally, the labels will be used for a plethora of reasons but I will mainly use them for my book sponsorships as each month students go home with a Scholastic book thanks to my sponsors!

• STEM Fun During Indoor Recess!

• Let's Get This Party Started!

  I couldn't be more thankful for this project to be completed as I now feel ready for my first grade students to arrive this week into a warm and inviting classroom where they want to learn. The lamps pull everything together, the markers will be used every single day, and the tape and baggies will help to keep us organized.

  I'm mostly excited to read the book, Our Class is a Family, to unite us on the first day and build respect between each other.

  I am so excited to announce that my students will enjoy a Glow Day - a day to complete their work with highlighters, glow sticks, snacks, etc. to make the day a fun learning experience. You have made this special day possible.

• A Sprinkle of Fun in First Grade

  Thank you so much for getting these fun items into my classroom for my students to enjoy! We will be using the eye blinds for different fun games, the container for our story, Pumpkin Jack, to actually watch the life cycle of a pumpkin, and the beads are for our retell of the first Thanksgiving feast. The students are already enjoying the stickers, the Play-Doh during engineering mornings, the smelly bookmarks, and my fifth grade buddies and high school intern are getting the most out of their wall organizer.

  All of these things add some spunk to our classroom and make a difference in their learning. I want my students to want to be here and associate learning with fun. You make that possible and I am very grateful!”

• First Grade Fun!

  The variety of items that we now have will all be put to great use! During the winter months, the K'nex will be a nice addition to our recess toys. Our classroom already smells awesome with the new air fresheners. We are reading our passages with the cute finger pointers. The privacy boards are helping us with our assessments. And, we have two upcoming projects with March Madness and Balloons over Broadway that I am excited to have the items needed for already!
