  These supplies are necessary to keeping a clean classroom where students be kept as healthy as possible where maximum learning will occur. This will allow the middle school general music students to focus on learning to playing instruments, learning about music history, and theory. • Electronic Music Composers Part 2

  Thank you for donating to "Electronic Music Composers Part 2!" Your generous donation has purchased an iPad and iPad case to be used by general music students at a middle school in a metropolitan area in the midwest. The iPad will be added to the composition center, and students will use the iPad while composing electronic music on Garageband. This will allow students to write music with electronic instruments not available in the classroom such as drums, beats, and sound effects, and then manipulate and record the sounds into compositions. Students will be so excited to have the iPad to compose and record music! Thank you for your generous donation, it will be used and enjoyed for years!”

• Electric Pianos for Middle School Musicians!

  Thank you for your thoughtful donation to "Electric Pianos for Middle School Musicians!" Your donation has purchased 10 mini, battery operated keyboards which will be used in a general music classroom as they perform rock music and popular music. The keyboards will also be used by students as they learn about elements such as chords, scales, intervals, and note reading.

  Your donation is especially appreciated as we now have enough keyboards for the entire classroom of students to play keyboards. The keyboards will be operated with batteries, and students wearing headphones so all students can focus on their own learning. Thank you for thinking of middle school general music students.”

Your kind donation has purchased an electric ukulele which has been added to the instrument collection of a middle school music general music classroom. In class students learn to play the acoustic and electric guitar, acoustic and now electric ukulele, keyboard, drum set, and vocals while in a modern band playing pop and rock music. • Middle School Musicians Need Amplifier (Part 2)!

  Thank you for your donation to "Middle School Musicians Need Amplifier!" Your generous donation has been added to the resources of my middle school general music classroom. This amplifier is now being used by general music students and after school music students as they play modern band music in ensembles consisting of drums, ukulele, electric and acoustic guitar, and vocals. More students are able to play music by Musicians such as American Authors and Black Eyed Peas thanks to your donation. Thank you for your support of Chicago students and the arts!”

• Middle School Rock Band Musicians Need Amplifier!

  Thank you for your thoughtful donation to "Middle School Rock Band Musicians Need Amplifier!" Your generous donation has purchased an amplifier which is now being used by a middle school general music classroom, and by after school music students. Students in the general music class have used the amplifier while playing electric guitar and bass, and while playing modern music such as Black Eyed Peas and American Authors. The amplifiers are now part of the modern band ensemble and allow students to perform, improvise, and create while in the musical group. Thank you for the donation, the amplifiers will be enjoyed for years!”

• Middle School Rock Stars Need Guitar Strings

  Thank you for your generosity in funding "Middle School Rock Stars Need Guitar's Need Guitar Strings!" Your thoughtful donation to this project funded a classroom set of acoustic guitar strings, which replaced the aging strings on the guitars in our middle school general music classroom.

  The guitars are used in general music and in after school Rock Band, and in both programs students play a variety of music including Rock, pop, folk, and modern music in musical ensembles including acoustic and electric guitar, piano, drum, keyboard, and ukulele.

  The guitar strings allow more students to participate because broken strings are replaced, and they add a refreshed sound to the ensemble. Students are learning performing, improvisation, and music history with these resources. Thank you again for the donation of guitar strings!”

In both programs, students are using the keyboards to play with an ensemble of guitars, keyboard, and drums to play modern rock and pop music on the keyboards by artists such as American Authors, Katy Perry, and Queen. By performing in these ensembles students are learning performance skills, stage presence, music history, and music theory. Thank you for your donation, the keyboard will be enjoyed for years!”

Your thoughtful donation has helped purchase a total of 4 keyboards which are now being used by middle school general music classes. In the general music class, students use the keyboards as centers where they are able to improvise, learn about instrumentation, and play the pianos with headphones during class.

  The pianos are also used during after school music. In after school music, a select group of students learns how to play in a Rock Band ensemble. Students play instruments including electric and acoustic guitars, drums, keyboards and play rock and modern music. Your donation will allow more students to participate in the Rock Band. • iPads Needed for Centers in Music Class! Part 3

  Funded Nov 9, 2018

  Thank you for your generous support to "iPads Needed for Centers in Music Class! Part 3" Students have started using the iPads are are using the iPads to create and compose electronic music on Garageband. When composing with Garageband students work in small groups and use headphones, composing individually and editing their own music. This program allow students to edit and add music elements including instrumentation, dynamics, tempo, and key of music. The pieces are then listened to by other students in the room on "gallery walks," where students listen to the musical creations of other students and offer positive, constructive comments. Your donation will be enjoyed and reused for years.”
