By gaining these materials, my students will have the opportunity to see clearly the activity/task that I am modeling for them.
My students thrive on consistency and routine. The population of students that I educate would greatly benefit from me using a document camera so that they are not looking at a piece of paper that I am holding up to my camera, that is both shaky and blurry. Their sense of 'normality' has been broken. We've all entered a new way of learning and delivering instruction. They need to be able to clearly see me model that task that I am requiring them to do. A document camera will allow me place all work under the camera so my students have the opportunity to see my work clearly as it is intended - just like they did when they were in the classroom. Having a document camera will help greatly with the delivery of my instruction and allow learning to continue just like it was when they were in-person. Furthermore, table-top anchor charts will allow me to create the necessary visuals for my students. 100% of my students are either English Language Leaners, and/or Students with Disabilities. Therefore, visuals are a must! These table top charts will allow me to have use of both of my hands while teaching so that I can switch between document camera and chart paper effortlessly without having the keep picking up the chart paper from the floor to refer back to.
In addition to the document camera and chart paper, a laptop cart would prove to be very helpful for my students as it will allow me to create a space to put my laptop and document camera.
All of these materials will be put to good use and benefit my students immensely.
