  • In Color, In Black, Help Us Print All About It!

    Funded Aug 6, 2018

Thank you isn't enough. I have not had accessible access to a color printer the 8 years I have been a teacher. You have given me the ability to freely create and to bring color and light into my classroom. For my ELL's (English Language Learners) it has been wonderful to provide them with real life colored pictures. It may not seem like a lot, but it makes a huge difference. The students are drawn to appealing visuals. Their interest is locked in when I am able to provide that for them. Our classroom is brighter and more engaging due to your generous donations. Your kindness is overwhelming. Thank you for helping me create a rich learning environment for my students. You are truly appreciated.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Contreras

  • Listening Station Upgrade!

    Funded Aug 5, 2018

My students and I cannot thank you enough for your generosity. The tablets have been a great addition to our literacy workstations. Reading is such a huge part of our classroom. It is great to have the opportunity to present it in so many different ways. The tablets offer the students the freedom to read books that align with their interest. That freedom has ignited their desire to read! The students enjoy hearing books they have chosen, being read aloud to them. My heart is happy knowing they are finding joy and meaning in their reading.

Your act of kindness has done amazing things for my students. The books in my classroom are limited. You have provided them an online library of over 5,000 different titles. You are truly appreciated.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Contreras

It's no surprise that teachers create most of the materials used in the classroom. In my classroom, teacher made activities account for 98% of student used materials, in workstations for both Reading and Math. Due to budget cuts, my classroom is in need of ink cartridges to keep our printer (a separate project) going strong. The ink cartridges will allow me to print classroom creations in black and color for my students. On my campus printing in color is not easily accessible. It would great to print real life pictures for my students! The thought of teaching an unknown vocabulary word and actually being able to have a realistic picture in COLOR brings me so much excitement. We could digitally create charts together on the SMART Board and print them out (in COLOR), to post around the classroom! Any help with this project is greatly appreciated!
