Déjame Leer
Funded Oct 12, 2022Thank you all so much for the Spanish books you provided to my wonderful students and classroom. My EL students were so excited when I first opened the package and could not wait to get their hands on all of the books. They have read several of the books and are working on reading more every day.
These books have really made my EL students feel included when participating in our Accelerated Reading program and helps them to feel just as successful as all of the other students.
Without your kindness we would not have these amazing books and I could never thank you enough!!!”
With gratitude,
Ms. D.
Everybody Needs a Little Self-Esteem...
Funded Dec 31, 2017The hygiene items that you purchased for my 5th grades students are coming in handy, especially with the warmer weather coming.
Some of my students have never even had their own stick of deodorant and are overjoyed by everything you have been able to give them. Most of them could not believe that a stranger would care so much as to give them things that they need.
To see each student so happy about having their own tube of toothpaste has brought tears to several teachers here at my school.
This project has really showed my students that there are people that care for them. I overheard one of them talking about how they would like to be able to donate to underprivileged students when they grow up.
Thank you for helping me to open their eyes to the world outside of their community.”
With gratitude,
Ms. D.
Interest ME
Funded Mar 27, 2018Thank you so much for your extremely generous donation to Donors Choose. My students greatly benefited from the books that were purchased all because of you.
The new books gave my students more of a variety of books to choose from but even more, gave them "newer" books. They are in heaven!!
My students were so excited to see some of the most popular books read by students their age now on our bookshelf. They couldn't wait to check them out and are deep into reading them already. Of course the girls are arguing over who will get to read the new Dork Diary book first and the boys aren't too far behind them. The I Survived books are also a huge hit with both the girls and the boys.
I'm sure the new books will help my students over all reading and Accelerated Reading scores increase!
I just can not explain to you how thankful I am for your wonderful donation; it will NEVER be forgotten.”
With gratitude,
Ms. D.

Funded Dec 22, 2016My students are absolutely loving the wobble stools that we received from your generous donations. They have really helped my students pay attention and still be able to move; in fact they enjoy the wobble stools so much that I am going to work on getting enough wobble stools for my entire 5th grade classroom.
The other fidget materials that we received are being put to great use too. The bouncy bands are a wonderful addition to our classroom and I find the students using them often to stay focused and attentive throughout the day.
Thank you so much for all you do!”
With gratitude,
Ms. D.
Read-Learn-Succeed
Funded Aug 25, 2016My students are really enjoying the books that we received. They couldn't believe that someone they didn't know purchased all of these books for them! They were so excited to see them and couldn't wait for me to get them ready for them to check out.
These books have gotten my students interested in reading more chapter books. The books also give all of my students a larger and newer variety of books to choose from.
The girls are really enjoying the Dork Diary books, the boys are enjoying the sports books, and both the boys and girls are loving the Diary of the Wimpy Kid books.
Thank you so much!!!!”
With gratitude,
Ms. D.
