There are 140 8th grade students who walk into my science classroom each day. We reside in suburban Arizona. Students and families come from diverse backgrounds. Our school houses more than 1000 7th and 8th grade students as well as an entire elementary school. Our students are thirsty for knowledge, especially in the sciences. Learning through hands-on activities is their preferred learning modality.
