Students with superior cognitive ability or those possessing "gifts" are often overlooked in classrooms because they are perceived as not needing additional support. I disagree. My students are just waiting to have their passion for learning unlocked and their abilities tested with new levels of discourse. They are eager learners and seek to investigate anything and everything. I have 60+ 3rd and 4th grade students that I see each day.
